MapleStory Comes to the Apple Apps Store
Nexon Mobile announced the hit online games, MapleStory has been released on the iPhone. MapleStory: Thief Edition is based on the original Maple Story and offers the same features as the original game. “MapleStory: ‘Thief Edition’ is developed to give iPhone users the game’s original uniqueness as well as recreate the original features from MapleStory,” said Seunghan Lee, Nexon Mobile CEO. “Now we can enjoy MapleStory, which has been loved by millions of users globally, even on the iPhone.” The “Thief” theme gives Robin the quest of becoming the world’s greatest thief. The game includes game graphics from the original version. This RPG promises an intuitive interface which helps users learn and control the game easily and quickly. Additionally, game level and difficulty were reproduced based on the original version in order to match the players’ skill level. Review: HexaLex
The game is done in the spirit of Scrabble but instead of blocks of tiles, player draw hexagons which add another dimension of gameplay as well as another dimension of difficulty to the game. HexaLex is hard! Fortunately, HexaLex is also very fun.

PlayOn Introduces Hulu & Netflix to iPhone/ iPod Touch
This morning, MediaMall Technologies announced a free update to PlayOne Premium which allows users to stream content via Safari. This update allows streaming from PlayOn’s full library using 3G or Wi-Fo connection. This library includes Hulu, NetFlix, YouTube, Comedy Central, Amazon VOD, CBS, ESPN and others. Existing subscribers will be able to download the update and immediately start streaming content while new users will have a 14 day free trial. After the trial period, new users will be charged $39.99 for the first year and then $19.99 for each year after. PlayOne Basic subscribers will be required to upgrade to Premium prior to using the new service. “PlayOn has established itself as the easiest way to consume online video on your home television screen in an affordable way, and now we’re ready to bring that same level of access to consumers on the go,” said Jeff Lawrence, CEO of MediaMall

Star Trek Meets iPhone
Paramount has released the Captain’s Log Communicator app to the Apple Apps Store. Trekkies are now able to capture voice recordings, type text entries, take photos and map GPS locations. Users can also choose to use this app as whatever officer class they choose or even a Klingon or Romulan. Logs are also compatible with Twitter, Facebook and Tumblr. So, it’s easy to share logs with all your friends. If social networks aren’t your thing, you can also email logs. Captain’s Log uses iPhone 4 features including the front facing camera, retina display, multitasking, and gyroscope support. Captain’s Log is compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch devices with OS 4 and is currently available for $1.99 from the Apple Apps Store.

Last King of Africa Available for iPhone
White Birds Productions have teamed up with Bulkyix to bring The Last King of Africa to the Apple Apps Store. This adventure puzzle games is the first iPhone game from Benoit Sokal who brought the hit games Syberia, Syberia II and Amerzone to gamers. Last King of Africa introduces us to Ann Smith. Huge Space Invaders Update iPhone/ iPod Touch
TAITO Corporation has announced a huge update to the iPhone/iPod Touch game, Space Invaders Infinity Gene. This update is free and includes a new playable ship and a new side scrolling play mode. Players will be able to activate this new mode by tilting the iPhone/ iPod Touch. A series of paid content packs based off of classic shooters with additional playable ships and new stages have also been made available. Each of the new paid content packs includes a new playable ship, two stages featuring the appearance of a special boss enemy, two new original music tracks, and one remixed music track. Namco Releasing Flight Control for Multiple Mobile Devices
Namco has teamed up with Firemint to bring the hit game, Flight Control to Java, Brew, Rim, Windows Mobile, and Android. Scheduled for a July release, this version of Flight Control promises the same addictive gameplay, four different airfields and 10 types of aircraft. Namco Releases Despicable Me and Other iPad Titles
A day after the premiere of Despicable Me movie, Namco has released Despicable Me: Minion Mania for the iPad and iPhone. Awesome weapons and power ups include an anti-gravity potion. Namco’s iPad version is coming out July 7 with the film’s official release two days later on July 9. Namco also released PAC-Match Party HD for the iPad. This Match-3 Puzzle Game, includes 30 levels of crazy combos and power-ups. In celebration of Pac Man’s birthday, Namco released a Flash version of PAC-Match Party. Accompany this two great titles, Namco added Isaac Newton’s Gravity HD for the iPad. This physics-based puzzle game promisses 100 brain-teasing levels of fun.
