Day 4: Heavy Rain “Four Days Challenge” Investigation
Previous: Day 1 “Four Days Challenge” Investigation Previous: Day 2 & 3 “Four Days Challenge” Investigation 9:00 PM 02.01.10 Day 4 Hello again, journal. Pretty sure I’m still not qualified to be a detective. Before I present you with your daily dose of psychobabble, I should probably mention I was right. It was “Aaah For Love.” PicXaminer.com sent me the results of my picture a few days ago. I can’t even look at it. It sends shivers down my spine and up again. Mr. or Ms. “@PerfectFolds” has been unusually quiet as of late. These past four days have been nothing but head games. All of his incomprehensible ramblings bring me another miniscule step closer to him/her. To “think like a killer” isn’t all that hard, is it? I mean, all humanity has are puny limitations. Oh no, “don’t do this, don’t do that,” but what if we just didn’t

Video Rewind: A Quick-look At PS3′s “Flower”
Amanda here, bringing you a “mini-review” of PS3 exclusive, “Flower.” Now, I haven’t had the pleasure of downloading this title until very recently, but I was surprised at how many people have never come across it’s “peaceful splendor,” if you will. My initial thought (…and I even twittered this) was that this game felt like, well, a “warm bath.” Every once in awhile theres a game that gets embedded into my brain as “unforgettable.” Flower is one of those games because it manages to peak my interest and enthusiasm when I’m not in a “gaming” mood–that, in itself, is rare! Since I’m a little behind on making anything substantial that hasn’t already been said about this game, I still thought “Flower” to be deserving of a re-introduction to those who haven’t had the chance to play. Enjoy! (Edited by myself. Video edited by Shawn Lebert at Goozex. Hosted by myself).

Day 2 & 3: Heavy Rain “Four Days Challenge” Investigation
Previous: Day 1 Heavy Rain “Four Days Challenge” Investigation 10:28 PM 01.28.10 Day 3 Hello, you. Yeah, yeah… I know this is …Well, let’s properly label this “Day 3,” but yesterday only left me in a pile of my own drool. I remember lifting my head upright at the sound of some five different Twitter applications. “@PerfectFolds” seemed as restless as I’ve been feeling because he’d been pouring his innermost thoughts all day. I couldn’t sleep last night, either. I suppose this means “@PerfectFolds” and I are becoming close companions on our descent into madness…I mean, sleep deprivation. The guy can’t even spell properly anymore, as you’ve probably noticed. “someombody ened sto do something!,” he says. I’m trying. I’m trying really hard to do something but I’m only lead further into anxiety and confusion. I’ve never envied detectives. I didn’t sign-up for this. Who am I kidding? We’ve all willingly

Day 1: Heavy Rain “Four Days Challenge” Investigation
Yeah, the industry likes to up the ante as far as sales however, viral marketing should whet our whistles with “heavy” anticipation; excited intrawebs nerds such as I, want to participate in presumptive flaming before we have access to the actual game. Nothing is more satisfying than a clever and well-executed viral marketing campaign, but I can think of a few video-game companies that have very recently bombed as far as creating something “virally” substantial goes—we won’t go there. Quantic Dream has my undivided attention with their recently announced “Four Day Challenge” on behalf of PS3 exclusive and interactive murder-mystery, Heavy Rain. If you have yet to sign-up, http://www.heavyrainps3.com will put your detective skills to the test. Now, here’s where it gets interesting: yours truly has been playing Quantic Dream’s silly games all afternoon, following her nose, and thinking way harder than she probably should be and while it’s to

Demo: Dark Void and Impressions in HD Video
Shucks, looks like we have another rental on our hands brought to you by Airtight games and Capcom. Amanda seems to possess a real knack for selecting less than average titles to Demo, but I’m a pro at pointing-out “UR DEWIN’ IT ‘RONG.” So you’re probably thinking I’m chuggin’ this here hatorade right about now, but my initial judgment is correct more often than not. I’d say it’s just another WET: enjoyed by the minority, flawed in important places, and another 7-7.5/10 to be buried under the sequel monster that is Mass Effect 2. Dark Void is a third-person shooter that may be given a lowly sequel for fun, but even the lowsy fun-factor I experienced in mid-air combat is hardly the right amount of amusement to overcome the rest of the 2010 line-up; I can already hear the melodious piano echoing T.I.’s “Dead and Gone.” The whole sha-bang centers

5 Memorable Gaming Moments Of The Decade
Fortunately for the readers here at GamingAngels.com, I won’t mention any half-asian athletes that rhyme with “Lyger.” I won’t be talking about celebrity offspring living better than most of us ever will. I won’t be talking about the mass confusion that swarmed my brain when Obama was handed the Nobel Peace Prize after deploying 30,000 troops. Kinda makes you feel depressed, doesn’t it? For now, let’s talk pure games. 2000-2009 really evolved the gaming world; The industry became rich women gamers and developers, the quintessential “superhero” game proved it didn’t have to be forgettable, Sony learned they couldn’t rule the coop by their past alone, and concepts like ProjectNatal and OnLive turned the gears of our imagination. 2010 is here, ladies and gentleman. A new decade is upon us, but before we journey to the end of the road, there is a quintessential article to be written about the good, the

Demo: Dante’s Inferno – Impressions
To the curious or uninformed, “Dante’s Inferno” is actually only a fragment of a famous allegorical piece of Italian Literature known as “The Divine Comedy.” The fable is a dark, disgusting, and intriguing vision of the afterlife written by Dante Alighieri—perfect material for a rather interesting video-game, in the very least. I was excited to find out Visceral Games was behind this project, especially with a game like Dead Space under their belt however, the demo felt little more than a very, very old button masher. Obviously comparable titles would be God Of War, Heavenly Sword and yep, Devil May Cry. The visuals don’t feel bold, but rather sub-par to similar titles but they’re still pleasing. Honestly, I’m still impressed by the cinematic beauty that is Heavenly Sword and speaking from playing the DEMO, I don’t think Dante’s Inferno is really an improvement albeit the same game I’ve played a

Rumino Games, “Swords & Soldiers” Making A Big Impression
From the creators of “De Blob” back in 2007, comes a very new, fresh, an innovative developer. It was only 2008 when Rumino Games was signed to be a Nintendo Licensed Developer and their first title, “Swords and Soliders” is making quite an impression. The Wiiware game “Swords and Soldiers” has been getting a lot of positive attention lately. “Swords and Soliders” was originally nominated for five categories at the Dutch Game Awards, Best Game, Best Visuals, Best Audio, Best Original Gameplay and the Control magazine Industry award. Well, Rumino Games is proud to announce “Swords and Soliders” being honored at two award shows in a row; it was given ‘Best Original Game Design’ at the Dutch Game Awards diner as well as the ‘Control Magazine Industry’ award given to Rumino by legendary game designer Peter Molyneux himself. That’s not all however, the game also won twice more, taking home
