    TECMO® announces E3 2009 Lineup

Tecmo have announced which titles they will be unveiling at E3 this year: Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Quantum, Undead Knights & Family Fun Football. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 sees “super-ninja” Ryu battling his way from Tokyo to New York, beating up bad guys and all of the usual good stuff essentially. It now has a few new playable characters, online co-op, new enemies, level-ups for weapons, and plenty more to enhance your gaming experience. It is destined for Playstation 3 in the Fall. Quantum is an action-shooter for the PS3, and it sees you playing as Sid and Filena in an art nouveau setting making your way through a “treacherous tower”! Obstacles and online play await you in this dark fantasy game, but you will have to wait until 2010 until you can get a copy. Undead Knights sounds like it’s not exactly a game for the little kiddies, but

    E3: Microsoft Press Conference Summary

It has begun! And, boy oh boy, did Microsoft start us off with a BANG! (Please bare with me as I translate the frantic notes I was sent from the girls who were on hand for the event.) Microsoft opened it all up in a big way, with Rock Band Beatles and Paul and Ringo (as well as Yoko Ono and Olivia Harrison) were on hand for the announcement. The game is going to be released on 9.9.09 (the old rumored date for the non-existent Dreamcast 2) and is chock full of Beatles classics: I am the Walrus, Back in the USSR, and Abbey Road. All You Need is Love will be an exclusive DLC track for the Xbox 360. All the proceeds from downloading this track will go to Doctors Without Borders. Tony Hawk is blessing us with a new game, Ride, which has a skateboard peripheral. The controller

    FanimeCon 2009

This past weekend, I had the honor to go to FanimeCon 2009 in San Jose, California. It was just as I had expected: cosplayers galore and so many booths and things to check out. I was really excited to see the arcade room, which took up an entire exhibit hall. I couldn’t believe there were so many Dance Dance Revolution variants, even something called ParaParaParadise that is another dancing game that uses hand motions instead of feet. Aside from the coin-operated games and claw machines, there were numerous tables for card players, as well as a giant stack of board games. There were a bunch of televisions set up in a big square with game systems hooked up to it. I saw people playing anything from Rock Band to Castle Crashers to Pokemon Stadium. I was a little sad that so few people were playing card games. There were offerings
