Chicks Who Click Conference
May 15th and 16th here in Kansas City was the Chicks Who Click Conference, a meeting of women interested or employed in Social Media. Friday night, despite the rain, many of the attendees met for drinks and discussion at The Grandfalloon at the Plaza. For me, it was an interesting evening of discovering a whole group of women in Social Media that work for the same company I do. Saturday was a full day of presentations from different women from KC or the surrounding area that are in Social Media. They talked a bit about some of the great things that Google has implemented in Gmail to help keep your email clean and organized. Rhythm Heaven event in New York City
When I got the e-mail from Trina that said that Nintendo was having an event at Scratch DJ Academy in New York City I did not know what to think. In fact I was thinking about not going at first but it was Easter break and since I had nothing to do I decided to go anyway. Getting there was not as big of a problem as I thought it would be and once I got off the train I was right where I needed to be. Once I had reached the second floor of the building the lights and sounds of a party hit me and right then I knew I was in the right place.
