Yu-Gi-Oh goes on a mall tour
Like Debbie Gibson or NKOTB, Yu-Gi-Oh! is going on a mall tour! The ten city mall tour will start on February 12 starting at Lake Grove, NY. At each mall stop, players can learn how to play the game, watch demos, and game with experts. Each player will walk away with a demo pack to keep playing. “This is a great way for us to reach out to a new audience and to satisfy our avid fans,” Yumi Hoashi, Vice President of the Konami Card Business said of the mall tour. “The face-to-face interaction is a perfect way to introduce the game to budding Duelists around the country. And, once they learn the basics of the game at the tour, they can continue to play and develop their skills at one of our Official Tournament stores in their area.” I believe Yu-Gi-Oh is appropriate for young players, so parents can

New Nightfall card – Enraged Wight
We have a new preview from the folks at Nightfall. The next card for preview is the Enraged Wight. This was actually voted on by fans of the Nightfall facebook page. So here is the breakdown of the Enraged Wight card. He looks pretty angry! “Enraged Wight is interestingly enough the only ghoul minion in the base set! There is an action that features ghouls, but as of yet ghoul activity isn’t as widespread as that of the vampires and werewolves, but one might expect that to change as expansions release… Enraged Wight is another of the starter deck cards and as such only links to his own color, and features a self-removal trait and the chain effect to inflict a direct 1 damage straight to your opponent. He has two strength, more than Charlotte did, which can also damage the opponent if he gets through to them. He wields

Play Sheriff or Outlaw in Bang!
This holiday I made it a point to try out board games that are new to me. While some can be varying levels of difficulty and fun, I am on the look out for the best to showcase to you! Bang! is a card game by designer Emiliano Sciarra. It came out in 2002 and is still sold at local game stores as well as Amazon.com. Bang! supports 4-7 players and we played with 6. “The Outlaws hunt the Sheriff. The Sheriff hunts the Outlaws. The Renegade plots secretly, ready to take one side or the other. Bullets fly. Who among the gunmen is a Deputy, ready to sacrifice himself for the Sheriff? And who is a merciless Outlaw, willing to kill him? If you want to find out, just draw (your cards)!” (From back of box) This card game takes you back to a time where the Sheriff had

Nightfall Charlotte Reyes preview
Due to the lunar eclipse last night, Nightfall thought to send us a surprise preview. The special preview describes the card Charlotte Reyes. One of the amazing illustrations that I pointed out in the last article. “Charlotte Reyes. She’s one of the starting deck cards. 12 cards for every player, 2 each of 6 minions. Each of the 6 represents one of the colors in the game, and only chains to its own color. You’ll notice her “In Play” effect. It is shared by all of the starter cards, essentially if she comes into play, whenever she is destroyed or discarded she removes herself from the game. This way your deck automatically thins out your starting cards as you build up your functioning deck from the cards you buy. You’ll also note her zero Influence cost and that her name is in gold, these are just reminders that she’s a

Control minions of the night in Nightfall
Nightfall is a brand new deckbuilding card game to add to your collection from Alderac Entertainment Group. The game will be released in early 2011. In Nightfall, players will compete to control all the creatures of the night. Werewolves, vampires, ghouls, and more will be used to gain control of the land. The official site will have more information on Nightfall as it gets closer to release. But for now, join their facebook to have a chance to own Nightfall before it comes out via the “First 100 days” content. Nightfall uses a chaining mechanic for play. Each card has a main color and two linking colors. Match the main color of a card to one of the linking colors and those cards can chain together. The object of Nightfall is to put wounds into your opponents’ decks and end the game with the least amount of wounds. Every day
