    Nintendo announces many Luigi games and upcoming titles

    This morning Nintendo made quite a few announcements to show some LOVE to their fans. The largest announcement being that Luigi will be taking center stage this year. In the video below, Nintendo shows details on not just one Luigi game but four.     New trailer for Sims 3 expansions University Life and Island Paradise

    This morning we received information about the upcoming Sims 3 expansions, University Life and Island Paradise. The trailer below is a producer walk through of the Sims 3 University Life. The walk through gives a new look at the “wild parties, chaotic class schedules, new activities, crazy hijinks and more that can all be experienced in this new expansion”. Also announced is an exclusive for Origin orders. In the exclusive, Sims 3 players will get new outfits, face paints and a stylish scooter. In Sims 3 Island Paradise (coming in June), players will be able to do the following: 1. Build, own and manage resorts – Create a family-friendly resort of waterslides and buffet tables, a romantic retreat dotted with minimalist cottages, or a singles resort featuring multiple pool bars where Sims can mingle and flirt.     Bethesda along with Future US and Fearless Media are taking a Elder Scrolls Online Food Truck on the road. It’s actually going across the nation to various geek spots where you are certain to be able to find it.     SEGA has announced that they have acquired all of THQ Canada and some IPs owned by THQ Inc. THQ Canada has developed franchises like “Warhammer 40K Dawn of War” and “Company of Heroes” as Relic Entertainment Studio. “We are thrilled to have Relic Entertainment join the SEGA family.     Deep Silver and Koch Media acquire Saints Row and Metro

    THQ announced recently that they were going to be selling off various THQ properties due to the liquidation of assets (financial issues). We may be be hearing more this week about various franchises that are being picked up by various studios.     Pokemon X and Pokemon Y announced for release in October 2013

    Nintendo announced today two brand new titles in the Pokemon franchise for the Nintendo 3DS system.     Epix creates app for Playstation 3 and PS Vita

    Content provider, Epix has announced plans to launch an Epix app for the Playstation 3 in the first quarter of 2013 and PS Vita in the spring. The app will provide subscribers with access to over 3,000 movie titles, original programming, concerts, comedy and sporting events. The app will be provided as a free download. “We’re thrilled to join forces with Sony Computer Entertainment to offer subscribers a unique and unparalleled experience. This is another important step in our mission to provide the best content in every way consumers want it, creating better entertainment experiences using our premium content, and by working with technology partners and our distribution partners,” said Mark Greenberg, EPIX CEO and President.     Nintendo announces TVii

    Nintendo has announced a new way to enjoy TV through their Wii U system. Those that have the Wii U already know about the ability to keep playing on their tablet when someone wants the television back. Now they are adding a new way to use the system. On December 20, Nintendo will launch TVii, a free service that integrates what you watch and how you watch into the new Wii U controller. “After Dec. 20, you’ll never look at your TV the same way again,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “Wii U owners have already experienced the transformative effect that the GamePad has on game play and social interaction.     Art of Blizzard Book Launch and Art Exhibit

    This is going to be awesome. Whether or not you play Blizzard games, everyone can appreciate the artwork from the Diablo, StarCraft and Warcraft universes. Their artists are top notch and pieces take your breathe away. Gallery Nucleus is going to be hosting “The Art of Blizzard Entertainment Book Launch and Art Exhibition”. The exhibit takes place between January 12, 2013 – February 3rd, 2013. The opening reception is January 12, 2013 from 7-11pm. There will be over 50 pieces of artwork from the games and some concept art. It will cost $5 to get in at the door, or you can wear a costume to get in for free.
