    Mass Effect: Paragon Lost Review

In Mass Effect 3, Shepard doesn’t have to bond with the shipmates of the Normandy as is pretty much required in Mass Effect 2 with the game’s team-bonding missions. However, if the player in Mass Effect 3 chooses to chat with marine James Vega, Vega entreats Shepard to “dance” with him–a sparring match where Vega spills exactly why he is angry with Shepard, the Reapers, and the Collectors. It’s isn’t because his new tattoo is a wee bit sore. Vega was assigned to protect a certain colony in the Terminus systems, a colony that was unfortunately on the Collectors’ shopping list. Mass Effect: Paragon Lost is Vega’s story. The anime starts off simple enough. Vega’s team has been sent to save a colony from being overrun by the Blood Pack, a gang of intergalactic mercenaries that typically consists of krogan, batarians, and vorcha. They have a reputation for being nastily

    The Hobbit becomes a Trilogy

The press release came in today to announce that Peter Jackson or Warner Bros will be squeezing the Hobbit for all it’s worth by making it a trilogy. Yes the latest Hollywood fad has hit the Hobbit. Jackson stated, “Upon recently viewing a cut of the first film, and a chunk of the second, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens and I were very pleased with the way the story was coming together. We recognized that the richness of the story of The Hobbit, as well as some of the related material in the appendices of The Lord of the Rings, gave rise to a simple question: do we tell more of the tale? And the answer from our perspective as filmmakers and fans was an unreserved ‘yes.’ We know the strength of our cast and of the characters they have brought to life. We know creatively how compelling and engaging the

Disney at San Diego Comic Con

Disney hosted a great Hall H panel at San Diego Comic Con yesterday. The films featured were Frankenweenie, Oz the Great, and Wreck It Ralph. For Frankenweenie, Tim Burton came on stage to answer Q&A and showcase more footage. An interesting fact is that Tim Burton had envisioned the movie as a full length stop motion film, but due to budget had to make it a short film instead. Now he gets to revisit his work and make it complete. Here is a video from the homage trailer: Oz the Great featured director Sam Raimi. I found curious that there were quite a few times where people asked about the intersection between this and Wizard of Oz. But there isn’t any. This movie takes place way before Dorthy ends up in Oz. Find out more at the official site. Wreck it Ralph was my favorite! The director came out along

Disney/Pixar’s ‘Brave’ Gets Temple Run Mobile Game

The original Temple Run by Imangi Studios has some impressive stats. The single player, action app game was released last August on iOS and Android earlier this year. It was among the Top 50 downloaded apps in December 2011 which led to it eventually being the number one Free App. The simple game is easy and addicting to play with just a swipe of the finger. The basic premise of the game is to run as far as you can avoiding a variety of obstacles placed in your way and the ever present demonic monkeys that are pursuing you. Now, Imangi has teamed up with an international giant of media: Disney. Temple Run has now been redone with a Disney touch by using the protagonist of the new Disney/Pixar film, Brave, as the character running through what is now lush, Scottish territory. Temple Run: Brave is, at it’s core, just
