Dark Horse creates Tyrion statue for Game of Thrones collectors

We’re huge Game of Thrones fans here at GamingAngels. I can’t wait for the show and Wintercast (our podcast) to come back. But until then, Game of Thrones collectors can get their hand on a Tyrion statue newly announced from Dark Horse. The statue depicts Tyrion, as portrayed by Peter Dinklage in the TV show, charging into battle leading the defense of King’s Landing against King Stannis Baratheon’s assault. “When Dark Horse Deluxe began developing a new line of collectibles based on the HBO® adaptation of Game of Thrones, we were pleased to discover we had the full attention of all involved, from the team at HBO Global Licensing to the principals steering in the production,” said Dark Horse’s VP of Product Development, David Scroggy. “The Tyrion statue is a benefit of that communication, and we know the fans and collectors will recognize the quality that is the result.” Here

Toonami is BACK on May 26th

Well Toonami fans, Adult Swim has answered your prayers. Returning on May 26th is the exciting block of action cartoons and anime. Adult Swim’s April Fools Joke was to play their old Toonami block for one night which set the internet afire as fans told other fans resulting in no one sleeping. Now, Adult Swim has recently announced that the block will be returning. Toonami was one of the few sources for great anime back in the day. It showed the likes of Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, Yu Yu Hakasho, Outlaw Star, several Gundam titles, etc. Twenty-something anime fans probably owe quite a lot to Toonami and, now, we get to relive those sleepless Saturday nights of our youth. It is unsure if Toonami will run alongside the current Adult Swim programming, but we shall all find out on May 26. Just to add a bit of nostalgia, here is

Spartacus Boot Camp is a place we all want to be

I’m not sure how newsworthy this is, but since it’s Friday, I figure we can all use a picture of “hawt” dude working out. Plus this post goes to a GamingAngels editor that every podcast mentions battle panties. The Spartacus team is working out hard for the new season. They take one month to go through Gladiator training which includes exercises used by the military. “Meticulous choreographing is necessary to ensure the safety of the actors performing the stunts,” says stunt coordinator Allan Poppleton, who has overseen each of the “Spartacus” boot camps. “For four weeks, we work the cast to the point of exhaustion, combining cross training elements- everything from cardio, basic gymnastics, foot and movement work, unarmed combat, body awareness, reactions, weaponry, and functional cross fit circuits.” “Spartacus Boot Camps are famous now for pushing you to your absolute limits,” says star Liam McIntyre. “This year they found

Steven S. DeKnight Talks Spartacus: Vengenace Finale and Teases Season 3

Earlier this month, creator, writer, and executive producer of Spartacus: Vengeance, as well as Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, Steven S. DeKnight spoke with the press about killing off characters in the finale, bringing new characters in for season 3 and stretching history just enough to make for an epically awesome show. This season of Spartacus: Vengeance was huge. With each episode ending on a bigger and bigger “HOLY CRAP” moment, I wasn’t sure what DeKnight and his crew could possibly have left for a finale. Oh, ye of little faith that I was because the finale for season 2 was not only full of crazy amounts of action, but it also included a fairly large cut in the cast of characters viewers had been following. During the discussion, DeKnight discussed the reasoning behind the deaths of a few characters, as well as new antagonists
