There has been a small rumor going around the net of Final Fantasy XIII supposedly freezing and/or breaking PS3's. Also the XBox360 has reported the same issues but only a few have been reported. Don't tell me it's not safe to play the game…

I saw that rumor too but nobody I know who's been playing the game has said anything…

Gameplay itself freezes. It doesn't brick the system.

That said, if that were going to happen, it would happen fairly early on, and seems pretty isolated at this point. If you play, it's probably about 99.something% safe.

I'm having a hard time quoting you guys…but thanks for the input! I was also thinking this rumor could have been stirred up to scare people. No mass hysteria here thank goodness.
