Do try and look a the bright side -At least it's not an innapropriate picture, I used to get those all the time when I first got my 360 and all I really had to play was Uno. Needless to say there's many blocked and reported pervs.

Beyond that I too play Halo 3 and all, and no I'm not really all that awesome unless I get into a groove or get fired up. One incident stands out in my mind in particular where a guy said something drastically mean and innapropriate in chat prior to a match where I was with all my guy friends. They were all astounded that I actually talked back since it's not really my style, but what he said really upset me and made me mad. (I'll leave this to the imagination since no one should joke about such things against women) My ultimate response though was I singled him out the entire match of Team Slayer and tea bagged him everytime I killed him. By the end of the match I had killed only him around 26 times and he was the upset one. Also blocked afterwards of course.

Bottom line is some males are dumber than others and don't respect people in real life let alone via the internet. Try not to take any of it to heart, there is a block button and it works wonders.

I can't remember which one of you said it but you'd be surprised how many of these kinds of guys will say this kind of stuff to your face. Some guys are just douchebags whether they're behind a screen or in your face. I work at a video game store where fifty percent of our staff is female and all three of us have had incidents where male customers don't want us to serve them because the instantly assume we know nothing about gaming. It's unfortunately that almost everyday I go to work I have to prove myself as an actual gamer. The manager of my store is female and she says she gets this kind of thing all the time and tends to hire any staff member (male or female) based on their knowledge of gaming.

The other night I actually had a young guy come in and ask me a few questions to which I believed I successfully answered everything he wanted to know and when I asked his brother if he needed help he said he was fine. The my ASM (Assisstant Manager) who is male, came out of the back and the guy asked him all the same questions he asked me as if I didn't know what I was talking about and his brother who didn't have any questions for me asked my ASM a whole slew of questions just because he was a guy. I was so furious with them it bothered me for the rest of the night.

I don`t have a gold account so I don`t play live with anyone but my husband does all the time and the other night he was talking to a bunch of guys. One of them was complaining that he couldn`t get a girl (possibly his girlfriend) into gaming with him and my husband suggested to find a girl that was already into gaming. He made a comment aong the lines of -All girl gamers are fat and ugly- and my husband got all indignant and said -Hey my wife`s not fat or ugly-

It`s really unfortunate that most guys out there have these preconceptions about us just because we`re female. If we`re attractive females there`s no way we`d be into gaming or know anything about gaming and if we are gamers there`s no way we can be attractive. It`s all bullshit.

Well, when i walk into a Gamestop or what have you, i don't mind a female helping me and any questions i might have or concerns about something. I actually welcome it. On the other hand…some guys like to go to guys for this assistance maybe because they feel they might have the same things in common or similar games than that of a female…yeah, i know its stereotypical but im sure females sterotype guys on things as well. It just happens. Also, that comment that was made and mentioned in Skittle's post, don't take that stuff to heart and was once again another stereotype. People stereotype and its commonplace :( To rid the world of ignorance is a difficult task.

I went in to a Gamestop that i like more than the one closest to me and asked one of the managers about a game and he couldn't tell me anything about it, never played it and its been out for a lil while. A female working there was present and was actually able to help me out. *shrug*

I can stare into a thousand eyes But every smile hides a bold-faced lie It itches, it seethes, it festers and breathes My heros are dead, they died in my head Thin out the herd, squeeze out the pain Something inside me has opened up again
