I know you can get this on either PS3, Xbox or PC… but I decided to just post this here. Anyway, the game previews look really good. Is anyone else thinking of playing it? I just don't want to make a mistake in buying it like I did with Aion. So, when Tuesday rolls around… if anyone buys the game and plays it, please let me know how it is!

I'll have it, probably a couple of days late because it's a "Thanks for helping me get to the wedding" gift and he may take a bit to get it to me, but I'll have it for sure. It looks like a blast and I'm an RPG addict, so. I'll be sure to let you know how awesome it is.

I'm getting it a little later since I ordered it from Amazon with free shipping, but I should have it by Friday. I know I've been excited for it with all the reviews, and since I've played every Bioware game thus far. ^_^

Everyone been playing this? Cause once I started I was HOOKED. I beat it last night after some ridiculous marathoning and was just blown away. I played as a female human noble warrior, and I did dual-wielding and went into berserker, which was sweet as hell. Alistair is basically my true love now, he is the best. *swoon* Are you guys enjoying it?

It got gifted to me on PC so I haven't played it on the 360, but I, too, am hooked. It's taking me everything I've got to not ruin my schoolwork by playing it too much. SO fun! And yes, I <3 Alistair too. I think I hate Morrigan just a little. And Sten is -confusing-.

I really don't know what to think of this game. My friend is always playing it and we always talk in a party together. He talks about the game, and the most random things happen, first theirs ghost he cant kill, then guys with swords, then he got hit by a fireball, then he got turned into a mouse and then he was invisible. I laugh everytime and joke about how random it is but he insists that once you get through the randomness its a great game, and hes constatly playing so it must be. I know he would recommend it, but I've never played it and doubt i will until christmas since i have no money. But it sounds fun and ill check it out.

Just picked this up over the weekend, and got a chance to play it for the first time this evening. I'm really liking it, and I'm glad to see how they worked in the story from the novel prequel.

I'm finding that it's not so much random if you talk to everyone as much as you can to learn things – the dialogue options, while mostly fluff, are full of useful, party-saving information.
Cherith – what character did you start? I'm all full of curious.

I started with a female mage. I'm so tired today because I stayed up too late last night playing. :)

I started with a dwarf commoner rogue, but when I got my copy for the 360 I switched to city elf rogue. I love rogues. I'm looking forward to mage, though, once I've played through once.

My character is an Elven Mage. I did this since I'm never an elf and only ever a warrior or healer in games and I thought being a mage might be fun. It totally is, I wish that I had more time to play I just got to the Dwarven city which is my last stop on my treaty tour of Ferelden. I love Allistair, but I admit I'm a bit dissapointed with the romance stuff after having played most of Mass Effect's side romances. Regardless I adore Allistair and am a bit annoyed by Zevran who always seems to want prostitutes… I did the shapeshifting thing and it's almost worthless. I then 2nd specialized in arcane warrior and am enjoying that alot more. I now walk into battle with my staff and blood dragon armor and still use just magic – looks hysterical though! What specializations has everyone else tinkered with?

Actually… as I flipped through my OXM today in science class, I found a page on Dragon Age and because I have no idea what its about, but have heard of it. I read the article. Actually when I understood the game it seemed kinda cool, almost like runescape but less cheesy and dungons and dragon-y. Like one of those games that can actually pull of the elven-mage type theme, and not come off sounding like a super nerd game. I actually really want to play now, and am going to try to borrow it from my friend, so hopefully I'll fully get it soon enough.

I started with an elven mage too. Seemed like a good idea, but to be honest I am starting to loose interest. The battles are too short and require little strategy to win. Also the spells are very lame, I dunno maybe I just got the wrong ones; we'll see. Also the command menu is clunky and it makes it difficult to select the right spells or potions. To be honest the whole game would be fun if I had more freedom when it come to movement. I am kind of disappointed with the uber load on dialogue. I am looking forward to Divinity 2, hopefully the spells will be better. At least DAO had a mana bar, couldn't say the same about fable 2. What an awful disappointment. Plus I am getting frustrated with the stupid ability restrictions DAO is putting on developing my character. I really wanted to make more of a battle mage, but at this point that seems unlikely. Well at least Divinity 2 allows you more freedom when it comes to character development. I really want something like a cross between oblivion and fable 1.

I'd have to say that Dragon Age is kind of a slow moving game IMO. Not a bad game, but just not as good as people made it seem. Divinity II doesn't sound too bad. The first couple games they did weren't bad so I imagine that it could be a good title. I might try it after I'm done with DA and see which I enjoy more. When does Divinity come out anyways?

Im up to 50hrs …. i havent done this since the last Final Fantasy 9, so i cant stop playing it. The Game is designed for old school, you know Black Isle stuff, icewind dale, baldurs Gate etc. hence the Lengthy Dialogue.. an i love that. Charm FOR THE WIN…. yes mhm. DA.O is a base plate tbh they can make so much more from it, I can only hope expansion with new Campaign Hmmmmm sexy

Really? You are loving the lengthy dialogue. Jeez thats like saying the prize at the bottom of the serial box is okay, but what really like is the font that the nutrutional content is printed in. Cmon dude, I wanted action and while DAO was able to deliver to some degree I felt a little disappinted after the big fight seen when the king dies because that was about as action packed as it got. I was so bored by all of the blah, blah, blah. Fortunatly I just got boarder lands adn so I have pretty much been rolling with my tank on full. I am aslo excited because Divinity 2 is gonna come out soon. Hopefully it wont be as much of a flop.
