Review: Woolly the Jumper iPhone/ iPod Touch
There is a lot to like about Woolly the Jumper. The game is very stylish and has fun background music. You play as a sheep running from a crazed farmer who robs you of both wool and life. Rating: 4+ System: iPhone/ iPod Touch Developer: Assyria Game Studio Genre: Platformer/ Sidescroller PASS Woolly uses a trajectory based system to jump from one platform to another across the screen. As you complete these jumps, you can collect cherries to add to your points. There are 4 levels and each increases in difficulty. The jumping is fun but it soon gets frustrating. The trajectory is not perfect. Although the angles all looked correct, I still sometimes missed ledges and ended up back at the first jump. If this were the only issue, the games would still be very addictive. You’ll notice I said “if.” Sadly, it isn’t the case. Woolly is being

“Phoenix Wright: Justice for All” WiiWare Release Date Moved…Up?
Don’t see this one too often. Usually, when we hear about a game being moved, it’s in the opposite direction. Capcom sent out an announcement today stating that the WiiWare release of Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Justice for All will be moved to February 15. No objections here! Justice for All takes place after the rookie attorney has gotten six months of experience. DA Franziska von Karma will stop at nothing to take him down. The download will be available February 15 for 1000 Wii Points.

Developers Flocking to iPhone, Shirking the Wii
The 2009/2010 State of Game Development Survey has revealed that the iPhone development platform is becoming increasingly popular, while the Wii is starting to see its decline. That seems to be the exact opposite of what we were seeing a couple of years ago – then, the Wii was selling out from every store shelf and the iPhone didn’t even have an App Store yet. So, what’s to blame for the shift? The slowing demand for the Wii, for one, and also probably the fact that the App Store makes it easy for indie developers to get started and make a profit. What about the rest of the stats? The iPhone/iPod Touch is easily the most popular mobile platform, the Xbox 360 is king of the consoles, and 70% of developers were working on titles for PC/Mac. Do you think the slowdown in Wii title production will lead to more

New Justice League Movie Coming to DVD
There’s a new Justice League movie coming out this month. It’s called “Crisis on Two Earths”. The movie will be based around the JLA “Crisis” issues. The story goes: that a heroic Lex Luthor from an alternate universe appears to recruit the Justice League to help save his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters with nearly identical super powers to the Justice League. The movie is due out from Warner Brothers later this month, and will show up as a two-disc special on both Blu-Ray and DVD. The story for “Crisis on Two Earths” was written by Dwayne McDuffie who was also a writer for the “Justice League Unlimited” series. There’s also a pretty great voice cast for this movie: Mark Harmon (NCIS) as Superman, James Woods (Shark, Family Guy) as Owlman, Chris Noth (Sex and the City, Law & Order) as Lex Luthor, William Baldwin

Wounded Warrior Project Gets a Boost from Call of Duty Endowment
Who knew that by buying a game, you could help support the people you portray within it? In the interest of building a new Transition Training Academy, the Call of Duty Endowment, established by Activision Blizzard, will be donating $100,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project. The Training Academies will be used to educate soldiers who have been severely injured in the field of Information Technology. Hopefully, after spending some time in the Academies, soldiers can find a post-military career path. Funds for the Call of Duty Endowment come from the sales of the latest game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The Endowment is run by an advisory board of veterans who decide what to do with the money raised. In the recent past, funds have been donated to the families of the victims of the Fort Hood tragedy and the Paralyzed Veterans of America.

Day 4: Heavy Rain “Four Days Challenge” Investigation
Previous: Day 1 “Four Days Challenge” Investigation Previous: Day 2 & 3 “Four Days Challenge” Investigation 9:00 PM 02.01.10 Day 4 Hello again, journal. Pretty sure I’m still not qualified to be a detective. Before I present you with your daily dose of psychobabble, I should probably mention I was right. It was “Aaah For Love.” PicXaminer.com sent me the results of my picture a few days ago. I can’t even look at it. It sends shivers down my spine and up again. Mr. or Ms. “@PerfectFolds” has been unusually quiet as of late. These past four days have been nothing but head games. All of his incomprehensible ramblings bring me another miniscule step closer to him/her. To “think like a killer” isn’t all that hard, is it? I mean, all humanity has are puny limitations. Oh no, “don’t do this, don’t do that,” but what if we just didn’t

Blizzcon 2010 in October?
Not too long ago I saw a tip from WoW.com that they saw Blizzcon on the calendar at the Anaheim Convention Center for October 22-23. It fits the general dates as it is occurring on a Friday and Saturday as it normally has. However when I just checked the site now the listing wasn’t there anymore and my guess is Blizzard had them pull it. Given that we already had rumors flying that Blizzcon might take place in Vegas I would be careful about getting too excited over the news. I’ve included the screenshot that WoW.com snagged and if I hear any news I will definitely update the post. Hopefully Blizzard will announce when and where the convention will be soon!
