Anime Expo Guest of Honor Kari Wahlgren answers our questions

Kari Wahlgren was a guest of honor at Anime Expo this year. Kari stormed on the anime scene with the role as Haruko in “FLCL”. Since then she has acted in numerous anime and video game roles. Kari Wahlgren’s schedule was extremely busy during Anime Expo, but she made time to answer our questions! You’ve been involved in many voice overs for anime and video games. What has been your favorite role? Haruko in FLCL was my very first anime role, so she’s one of my sentimental favorites, but I love Saya in Blood+ and Fuu in Samurai Champloo, too. What was your first ever voice over role? I did a part in a national radio drama when I was eleven! Do you have a background in acting? How did you get into Voice work? I’ve been singing and acting since I was a child. I always knew I wanted

The hardest working girls in show business – Morning Musume

The thing I was most excited for at Anime Expo 2009 was the chance to see Morning Musume perform. I have followed the band since 2001 and have never had the opportunity to see what their performances are like. After Anime Expo 2009, I believe these girls are the hardest working girls in show business. Performers in the US make millions of dollars for their pop sounds and often justify lip syncing due to the choreography. These pop stars should sit down and take notes from Morning Musume. The group of nine girls move non-stop and it never affects their singing. At the end of the show, the girls were soaked in sweat from working hard and still smiling and performing. Morning Musume is a Japanese girl group that sings and dances to typical upbeat JPop music. The lead group is called Hello! Project and that has all the girls

Online ticketing available for Anime Expo
