Geek wear is quickly becoming popular as being a geek becomes more mainstream. Sneakers are already almost a specific collector’s item much like vinyls or games. DigitallyBlonde.com has found a huge find where sneakers and geek are combined.

Daniel Reese has created BrassMonki.wordpress.com, where he showcases various sneakers that he’s created and they are nothing less than awesome. On his blog he talks about how he makes the sneaks on Nikes.

These Moogle sneakers are amazing! He also has everything from Modern Warfare 2 to Sesame Street. I love the Cookie Monster shoe. I also love the R2D2 one.

Apparently Adidas has teamed up with Samsung in order to create a sports related cell phone which is called the MiCoach. The phone will include a heart-rate monitor, a sensor to attach to a pair of running shoes and a Web workout journal to help people design and keep track of fitness programs. One of the interesting things about this phone is that it will give you messages of encouragement like “Speed up.”, or “Almost Finished.” Plus it has a way to play music and other features that have become standard on cell phones.
If you ask me, this is starting to sound like the Nike-Ipod Venture all over again. Everyone wants a little bit of the health crazed/ Diet and Exercise Bing that takes place. On that happy note, I like my cell the way it is, not nagging me. At least it won’t tell me to put down my double cheeseburger. :P
