Yesterday, Atlus and Cyanide Studios provided a peek into Riverspring, a new town created for Game of Thrones.

They also confirmed the game’s release date for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC: May 15, 2012. You don’t have much longer to wait, if you need more of that particular epicness.
But here’s more about Riverspring and Sarwyck Keep, where the ruling family lives:

A vacant lordship and civil unrest greet Alester Sarwyck, one of the game’s two main characters, as he returns home after a fifteen-year self-imposed exile.  He arrives as the town mourns the passing of his father, the elder Lord Sarwyck, forcing Alester to consider reclaiming rule of Riverspring and restoring order to his lordship.

Appropriately titled “Winter,” and released close to the Winter Solstice, this trailer will take you back to Westeros once more.

The game is scheduled for release in early 2012.

This trailer establishes the turmoil between Denz and Esteban (the game’s two main characters) as they attempt to run away from a curse that will…well, pretty much kill them.

The special holiday Pure White and Pure Black World Tendency events will also still occur, though details will come later.

Demon’s Souls is part of the PS3′s “Greatest Hits” collection and is available for $19.99.

As far as Catherine is concerned, Deep Silver is now that assistance, and the company will be answering the call of fans on that continent.

The game will feature localized text in German, Italian, Spanish and French.

King of Fighters XIII will be available this October for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Atlus announced this week that they’ve acquired the rights to publish The King of Fighters XIII in North America. Wow, there’s been 13 of those? I have clearly not been keeping up.

Anyway, the Xbox 360/PlayStation 3 title will feature fan-favorite characters like Mai (seen to the left), K’ and Vice. The engine’s also been improved as well as network connectivity. The developer appears to have been paying attention to community concerns after the twelfth release.

Six new play modes have also been added, there are more moves…it sounds like fans of the series have a lot to look forward to.

Unfortunately, he’s easily tempted by the title character.

Learn a little more about him in Atlus’ E3 trailer for the game, which releases in North America on July 26.

Let’s go over the contents, shall we?

You get that nice pair of polka dot boxers, just like Vincent’s (girls — prime pajama material, am I right?), his “Empty Hearts” T-shirt (which is Vincent’s, but is worn by Catherine) and, um…a pillowcase with Catherine on it. It’s supposed to be all symbolic and stuff, but that’s just kind of creepy, I’m sorry. It’s all packaged within a pizza box from a bar in the game called Stray Sheep. Which just makes me think Little Bo Peep, but that may be the point.

Atlus also announced that pre-orders all receive copies of the soundtrack and a special art book for free. So that’s nice.

The Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99 and the game will release July 26, 2011.
