Battlefield 1943 is available now
Battlefield 1943 is now available on Xbox Live Marketplace and will be available tomorrow on the Playstation Network. Battlefield 1943 is a download-only multiplayer game. The title has the epic scale battles for only 1200 Microsoft points. There is a free trial available on Xbox Live and Playstation Network. Battlefield 1943 has two new modes and four classic WWII Battlefield maps: Wake Island, Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Coral Sea. “We are excited to witness the intense battles that are going to take place on these tropical Pacific Theatre maps, ripping them to shreds and leaving nothing but debris behind,” says Gordon Van Dyke, Producer on Battlefield 1943. “Reliving these classic maps with the DICE Frostbite engine’s destruction capabilities and full FPS gameplay ups the ante on what can be done in downloadable games. We’re proud to be able to provide this experience to shooter fans for just £9.99.” (UK quote)

The maps are massive, and the graphics are even better. It has more team play, and more vehicles. DICE wants to give you more in every aspect and I think it’s working. Below are the first screenshots and trailer from mutliplayer play. Enjoy! [gtrailer]49570[/gtrailer]
