    Bioshock 2 – Revelations

On Friday afternoon, I got the amazing opportunity to join a conference call/interview with the Bioshock 2 creative director Jordan Thomas, lead designer Zak McClendon, and lead environment artist Hoagy De La Plante from 2K Marin, as well as Digital Extreme’s MP Art Director Mat Tremblay and MP Lead Programmer Jesse Attard. Needless to say, this was an exciting call for me. I lapped up every interesting new fact they were willing to divulge, and I’m sharing the wealth with you. Miss Jimmy Fallon Last Night? Here’s the BioShock 2 Trailer, In Its Entirety

Yeah, I know. Not everyone watches Jimmy Fallon. Some of us just like to sleep (or watch Lost again, but I’d never, ever do that). So, since you might have missed it, here’s the new trailer for BioShock 2. Looks like a bit of the combat isn’t real in-game footage, but who cares? It comes out next week! Other people have to be excited, too!

2K Kicks Off BioShock 2 Countdown with 3 Minute Trailer

Not only are you getting two extra characters for multiplayer, Blanche the Actress and Zigo the Fisherman, with a GameStop BioShock 2 pre-order, but 2K has something else to keep you busy between now and launch time. Specifically tonight, February 2. What do they have in store? Try a 3 minute, 15 second trailer for the game during the first commercial break during Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on NBC. Sure, you have to watch fifteen minutes of Jimmy Fallon to see it (no offense if you love him, but he’s no Conan), but it should be worth it. When the day finally gets here, over 2,500 GameStop and Best Buy stores will be opening their doors at midnight to let you get access to Rapture as early as possible in your time zone.

If you you’re a PC gamer who loves to play BioShock, Steam has got quite a deal for you. BioShock 2, which will be released February 2, is available for pre-purchase. Well, okay, it’s been available for pre-purchase, but not like this. Pre-purchasers who order via the Steam content delivery service not only get 10% off the purchase price, they also get a copy of the original BioShock completely gratis. What? You own BioShock already? (If you don’t, why?) Gift your bonus copy to a friend using Steam’s Gifting functionality. Want to get a group going for BioShock 2‘s upcoming multiplayer mode? Steam is also offering a four-pack with four free copies of the original game, and you get the 10% off, too! It’s a win-win-win-win situation!

Our Most Wanted Games of Q1 2010

The holiday season is here, which means as gamers we have been flooded with a ton of great releases to play over our holiday break. But the great games don’t stop here. 2010 is just around the corner and we are going to be seeing some amazing games. These are just a few of our Most Wanted titles for 2010. Mass Effect 2 (Jan 2010) ~ Amanda Alright, so if you haven’t played one of the most multi-faceted, single-player console RPGs ever to be deserving of a sequel, then you probably are in immediate danger of slapping yourself (because you don’t want me to do it for you, trust me). In which case, you can save yourself by grabbing your very own copy of Mass Effect just before the impossibly amazing sequel hits shelves on January 10th. As you can probably deduce, I’m biased and my gaming legacy has lead

My Spike VGA Picks and Predictions Part 3

Here we are. The third and final look ahead to the Spike VGAs airing this Saturday. Please take a look at Part One and Part Two if you already haven’t. At the end of all of this I’ve also shared some of my thoughts on how a proper and respectable awards event should be handled. Please feel free to comment as to why you agree or disagree with anything contained in any of the articles I have posted in regards to this laughingstock they call an awards ceremony. Best Performance by a Human Female Nominees: Eliza Dushku (Rubi Malone – Wet), Kristen Bell (Lucy Stillman – AC2), Megan Fox (Mikaela Danes – Transformers 2), Tricia Helfer (Dare – Halo 3: ODST) My Pick: Kristen Bell Most likely to win: Megan Fox Kristen Bell did an amazing job as Lucy. Very believable voice over work. However, Megan Fox will win this
