Boom Blox Bash Party

EA is hoping that this holiday season, you’ll break out the Wii and Boom Blox Bash Party to play with family and friends. While I haven’t played the sequel, the original is a great party game particularly with people that don’t play games often.

To celebrate the holidays, EA is releasing 139 free online levels to Boom Blox Bash Party. The new EA-created levels include 57 single player, 48 multiplayer, and 15 co-op levels.

To get to these new levels, go through Create Mode or click the Satellite icon in any game mode.

· Freeze Frame – Turn on Blox Time
· Blox Bouquet – Turns all animations into flowers

Boom Blox Bash Party hasn’t been out for too long but there are already over 3,000 user-created levels available for download. EA has created a YouTube channel to showcase the best of the user created levels.

On EA’s Facebook they will be listing challenges to community members to make levels around a central theme.

The first challenge is to ” Ready…set…create and upload a level showing Paulie Jenkins the Parrot being knocked over dramatically. Make sure to tag all entries with “BBBP”. Humor and creativity count!”

Boom Blox Bash Party is not even released yet and Steven Spielberg is already talking about a third title in interviews.

“You can become a creator at home,” the media giant told Reuters.

“You can become a participant and you can become an activist. It’s a really wonderful way to empower players to share their ideas with the world and give us better ideas for our own future of the next iteration beyond Bash Party.”

Steven Spielberg seems to be enjoying the reaction to the game and thinks it has helped his kids get off the sofa.

“It’s been very, very good for a parent like me who wants our kids not to be couch potatoes, but to get up and move their bodies around more,” added Spielberg.

Bash Party ships next week for the Wii. We’ll have impressions up over the weekend.
