To celebrate the holiday season, Oni Press announces the release of The Sixth Gun short story/Them what Ails Ya: A Christmas Yarn. The really long titled story is released starting today and is brought to you by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt.

The story will run every Tuesday, exclusively at the Oni Press Blog. They have the first part up now.

The epic dark fantasy set in the Old West, is an ongoing, full color series that will be launching from Oni Press in early May 2010.

“I’m really excited about premiering THE SIXTH GUN,” said writer and co-creator Cullen Bunn. “The world of THE SIXTH GUN is overflowing with potential stories, and I’ve got all these ideas that go beyond the actual comic series bouncing around in my head. So when Oni asked if I’d write a prose piece for their blog I jumped at the chance. This is a great opportunity to really expand on the core story and show some of the other things going on in the world. I think Brian might have been a little jealous so he agreed to do some illustrations for the story.”
