Online Game of the Week – Patience Deluxe
This week marks the return of the Online Game of the Week here in the Casual section of GamingAngels.com! Of course we do still want you to check out the Game Zone because the games between here and there will still be different. But look here every Sunday for a new game to play! This week, I am getting back to my roots and playing a little solitaire! So in honor of that, here is Patience Deluxe. This is a kind of solitaire I don’t normally see out on the game sites. The object is to put the cards in order from left to right from kings on down in the same suit by moving cards around to the empty slots, decreasing in order from the cards next to the empty spots. Sounds easy, but sounds can be deceiving. Try it out, let me know how you like it. Also,

Camon Hero coming this Spring
Uforia, Inc., an online game publisher with a specialty in MMOs, announced Camon Hero. Camon Hero is a unique kind of trading card-based MMORPG hitting the internet this spring. This game offers card summoning and card creation systems, crafting, item dismantling, never-ending quests, unique PVP (player vs player) battles and a lot more. A quote from the CEO of Uforia, JK Kim, says: “We are excited about Camon Hero because it it such a unique addition to the Uforia portfolio. While there are many choices in the MMORPG category today, it is rare to find a game that offers players a chance to experience a trading card game and MMORPG all in one.” In the game itself, players will travel through the land of Aria hoping to save its inhabitants from the forces of darkness. During the quests, players will find mystical cards that let them have the ability to

Board Game Review: Unexploded Cow
Unexploded Cow is a card game brought to you by the letter C, number 55, and Cheapass Games. This game comes in a small cardboard box and contains a rules insert and three small packs of the cards needed for this game. The company that made this game prides itself on giving the bare necessities for their games on the basis that board and card games have two things in common: they cost way too much, and they all, to some extent, are the same. Keeping this in mind, the company can get away with such light packaging. Players: 3-6 Ages: 10+ (I recommend 12+) Genre: Strategy Playing Time: 20-60 minutes, depending on luck Manufacturer: Cheapass Games BUY In order to play this game, you will also need enough money (paper or real, though I do not condone or suggest playing for realsies!) to give each player $2000 in denominations

Yu-Gi-Oh! Updates
Something pretty exciting has been released to the world of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The Duel Terminals, after success in Japan, have been brought to official tournament stores in the United States. These terminals are arcade style machines that play and teach the trading card game as well as dispense cards to players. Play on the machine can be at one of two levels. Players may choose to skip playing and just get their card. The cards are specially treated so they can be scanned and used inside the game. The terminal cards can also be used as actual cards and, once these unique cards are released in non-terminal products, will be legal for use in tournaments. They hope to bring in foot traffic to the stores that have them as well as increase the enthusiasm for the card game itself. Speaking of tournaments, the Pegasus League has finally

Duelist League for Players 14 and Under
Konami is bringing the fun of the popular trading card game Yu-Gi-Oh! to players 14 years and younger with the Duelist’s League. The new League was revealed in August at Gen Con Indy, and it hopes to be a fun, exciting way for newer and younger players to hone their gaming skills. It is a good way to bring in new players to hobby stores and get into the game while showing these younger players and their parents how fun official, sanctioned events can be. It’s also a way for players to learn the game in a supervised environment. How will it work, you might be wondering. Participating stores can pick a time and date for a 2-hour window. It costs about $5 and each player is guaranteed a really cool prize, usually a prize card, just for participating. Upon sign-up, each player will receive 3 “Duelist tickets”. If a

Community Cup Challenge Prep
As you guys all know from my little post here, I’m participating in the Magic: the Gathering Online Community Cup Challenge at the Wizards of the Coast headquarters in Renton, Washington. I’ve been really nervous and really excited about this from the moment I was asked if I wanted to go for GamingAngels. I’ve since learned that not only am I the youngest competitor on both teams, the second youngest having 4 years on me, but I’m the only female on the community team. There are three amazing women on the opposing team that I’m really looking forward to meeting. I’ve been doing a lot of prepping to get ready for this. Yes, I’m just playing a card game that I know and love, but it’s online. I’ve never played online Magic before, but I’ve been playing a lot so I can learn everything needed. I’ve looked at so many

Both are complete 60-card decks that are ready to play right out of the box, perfect for two players looking to start off or enhance their game. The MSRP is $20. Full deck lists can be found here.
