Gunnar’s CES announcements include 3D support

This is the week of awesome gadget announcements at CES 2010. So far, we can gather that much of the excitement if focused around 3D entertainment. TVs shipping with that ability, ESPN starting a 3D channel, or Sony talking 3D games, it’s all 3D and it’s the big talk of CES. Bands are now looking to release their first single not only on radio stations but now in video games, that speaks to the impact of the video game industry on other forms of entertainment.

The event crew did let the press in thirty minutes early, so now we sit and wait for the press conference to start. The big questions are what will the Microsoft CES press conference is like without Bill Gates? Last year we reported on Mr. Gate’s last CES Keynote and this year Steve Ballmer takes the reins. We reported earlier (post link) that the CES keynote may not bring very exciting news. We expect them to talk about Windows 7, Halo 3:ODST and the other Halo game. The question is will Microsoft have anything new to surprise everyone in attendance? Will there be a Zunephone to compete with the iPhone, or maybe a new handheld gaming device? We should find out more in 23 minutes. Keynote is getting ready to start,
