    There is nothing like the power of social media. We have seen its power in motion, from when we did Gamers for Haiti, Child’s Play and other events. Twestival is another events that uses the power of social media in order to connect others for a very good cause.  The main focus of the 2010 Twestival will be education and all funds raised will be donated to Concern Worldwide, a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization.     Everyone’s playing Facebook games, so Bioware Labs have created a Facebook games that celebrates the holidays and gives back. In the Gift of the Yeti, players help sick Santa by moving a yeti through the town trying to deliver as many toys before the time limit. “Gift of the Yeti is BioWare’s digital holiday card to its fans.     Fake band makes Mockmentary video for Ümloud!

    On December 9th, bands in California will be gathering in San Francisco for Ümloud!, an annual fundraising benefit for Child’s Play. One of the bands, Baby Dog Time, will be reuniting for one last gig at Ümloud!. To give you a look at who they are, they’ve created the mockumentary video below.     Gamers give back for Child’s Play event

    Harmonix rocks out for Ümloud! an annual fundraiser for Child’s Play Charity which is set this year at the DNA Lounge in San Francisco, CA on December 9th. The event will feature a full-blown Rock Band 2 main stage where gamers can face off against each other. “Ümloud! is a great way to get the community involved in a fun charity event and give towards a great cause,” says Ümloud! co-founder Chris Kohler. “We have awesome sponsors and industry leaders involved in this event and we want you to come out and rock the night away for us in effort to raise money for children’s hospitals through Child’s Play.” Doors open at the DNA Lounge at 7pm and the party goes until 2am.
