Atlus may have shipped a defective product, but they are making it easy for you to get a new one. Atlus announced today that they will be replacing defective bonus soundtrack CS from launch copies of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey for the Nintendo DS.

“Due to a manufacturing error, the bonus soundtrack CD bundled with Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey does not play properly,” stated Tim Pivnicny, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Atlus. “We are moving quickly with our manufacturing partner to replace defective soundtrack discs, launching a fulfillment site into which customers can input their information and receive a new soundtrack CD in 2-4 weeks. We apologize for this issue, we appreciate our fans’ understanding and patience, and we thank them for their current (and hopefully continued) support.”

I went to check it out, and you can submit a replacement request here. It’s very easy which is nice. It should take between 2-4 weeks for delivery.

2K Games have finally announced the details to the Special Edition for Bioshock 2. First thing you’ll notice is just how awesome it is and that you are going to need a record player.

The Special Edition will come in 13″x13″ premium packaging with special art on both the slipcase and the box cover. On the inside will be three posters featuring vintage ads from Rupture, a vinyl 180gLP featuring the orchestral score from the original Bioshock, a CD containing Bioshock 2 score, a 164 page 8×11″ hardbound artbook, and a copy of Bioshock 2.

The Special Edition can be pre-ordered now for the February 9th, 2010 release. The price is $99.99 for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 version and $89.99 for the Games for Windows Live version. There will only be one production run which means it’s a good chance that they’ll run out.
