Want to Know More About DC Universe Online? Chat with the Devs April 18
Want to find out more about DC Universe Online? Well, the first step requires having a Facebook account. And most people do these days. So you might have that step done already! Secondly, you might want to become a fan of the DC Universe Online page. Then, you’ll want to be there on Sunday, April 18, from 6-9 p.m. Eastern. That’s when ou’ll get to talk to members of the DCUO development team and get the scoop on gameplay, storyline, characters, locations, and even powers. DC Universe Online animation Contest on Facebook this December
Sony Online Entertainment is teaming up with Mass Animation for the DC Universe Online Animation Contest. The contest is using the Mass Animation Facebook application and will give DC Comics fans a chance to animate heroes and villains from DCUO. The contest launches on December 7, 2009. “The DCUO/Mass Animation contest takes a part of the game out of the development studio and puts it in the hands of fans, an empowering opportunity for our community,” said John Smedley, president of SOE. “Players will have a chance through qualified contest submissions to be involved with the game’s development at a deeper level than ever before by animating actions for in-game heroes and villains.” All the tools will be available for the contest and animators can upload their contest submission for friends to vote on. DC Universe Online Best Friends contest
DC Universe Online wants to know who your favorite hero or villain is in the DC Comics Universe. From the picture you can tell that mine is Wonder Woman. Sony Online Entertainment want fans to submit videos on the official MySpace site (http://www.myspace.com/dcuo) or at SOE’s booth #5201 at San Diego Comic-Con. The videos should be up to 30 seconds about why they would like to virtually meet, fight and become BFFs with their chosen character. “Whether it’s a song-and-dance tribute to the Pied Piper, or your diabolical plans to trick Mr. Mxyzptlk into saying his name backward, this is a chance to have fun and show just how creative fans can be,” said Debysue Wolfcale, global senior brand manager, Sony Online Entertainment.
