Blizzcon 2010 Schedule Released
For those who have been waiting, Blizzard finally released the schedule of events for Blizzcon 2010! You can check out the schedule on the official site, or via the handy screen cap I snagged. It looks to be a pretty standard Blizzcon with a few noteworthy panels. I’m interested to see what is covered in the opening ceremonies and if we’ll have any big announcements (Diablo III release date?). It will also be nice to attend the Cataclysm Cinematics panel as I’m hoping we see the opening cinematic as well as if there are any more in-game cinematics like the ending to the Goblin island of Kezan. I’ll also enjoy checking out the StarCraft II tournament. I’m still wondering if there will be any special closing band or if it will be L80ETC. Hopefully we find out if there are any more surprises soon!

Blizzcon 2010 in October?
Not too long ago I saw a tip from WoW.com that they saw Blizzcon on the calendar at the Anaheim Convention Center for October 22-23. It fits the general dates as it is occurring on a Friday and Saturday as it normally has. However when I just checked the site now the listing wasn’t there anymore and my guess is Blizzard had them pull it. Given that we already had rumors flying that Blizzcon might take place in Vegas I would be careful about getting too excited over the news. I’ve included the screenshot that WoW.com snagged and if I hear any news I will definitely update the post. Hopefully Blizzard will announce when and where the convention will be soon! Blizzard to develop a console game at some point
In a recent interview with Gamasutra, J. Allen Brack (production director of World of Warcraft) said that “We will definitely work on a console game at some point. I have no doubt about that. It’s just [a matter of] what game. What makes the most sense?” As a company who’s main focus is PC games, it’s interesting to see that they would be interested in making a console game, but they also bring up some good points as to why they haven’t done so yet. The thing that would be interesting to see is what they would develop for the console. Hopefully not Starcraft as RTS games really just belong on the PC since in my opinion the controls just don’t work for console controllers. The Diablo franchise might be able to be made for consoles, and WoW would be iffy. But maybe their console game could be this secret
