Review- Alice in Wonderland: Adventure Beyond the Mirrior for iPhone

Rating: Everyone 4+ Developer: Walt Disney Genre: Platformer Release Date: 2/22/10 PASS I have to admit, I had certain doubts about playing a game based off a current movie. Images of ET and Raiders of the Lost Ark on my Atari 2600 came to mind. Playing these types of games never go well for me. So, I took a deep breath, downloaded the game and pressed “Start.” Oh great. Now we have a platformer based on a movie. The artwork was different. I was a little more curious. Surprisingly enough, the hours flew by and I realized I was having fun and really enjoying the game. You play as Alice who is returning to Wonderland. You have old friends to help get through 10 levels of gameplay. Use the left and right arrows to control where Alice walks and the up arrow to jump. These controls were a little disappointing. I

“Toy Story 3″ Brings Buzz and Woody to the Sandbox

This week at New York’s Toy Fair, Disney Interactive Studios announced Toy Story 3: The Video Game. This entry in the series is the first to feature an open gameplay mode called Toy Box. Toy Box is literally a virtual box of toys that lets the player use their imagination to bring the toys to life (since that’s basically what the entire series is about). Designed to replicate the universal experience of playing with toys as a kid, Toy Box mode brings cowboys, space rangers, dinosaurs, and little green aliens together for brand-new adventures that only a kid (and Pixar) could imagine. Kids, families and fans will dive into Andy’s toy box with creativity driving their own stories and adventures. Toy Story 3: The Video Game also features a story mode that follows the Toy Story 3 film adventures in which Buzz, Woody and friends grapple with their uncertain future

    Review – Spectrobes: Origins

For a while it was hard to imagine a game that could rival the likes of the Pokemon franchise – that was until Spectrobes came along. While my first attempt at playing Spectrobes on the DS didn’t impress me, the Wii version is a completely different story. So what is it all about? Rallen and Jeena, officers of the Nanairo Planetary Patrol, are Spectrobes Masters. They are similar to Pokemon Trainers in the sense that they find these creatures, take ownership of them, and use them in battle. This is pretty much where the similarity ends though. Rating: PG Players: 2 Genre: Action RPG Publisher: Disney Interactive Studios Release Date: 4th October 2009 (AUS) BUY When you start the game, Rallen and Jeena are sent out to keep an eye on a portal in the Nanairo solar system. There have been reports of Krawl appearing all over the place and

Epic Mickey details from Junction Point

Disney Interactive has released official information about the upcoming Warren Spector and Junction Point studio game, Epic Mickey. The title is coming to the Wii and provides a new twist on Disney games. “Mickey is an adventurous and rambunctious mouse,” said Warren Spector, creative director and vice president, Junction Point. “I want to bring his personality to the forefront, place him in a daunting world and connect his spirited character with video game players worldwide. Ultimately, each player decides for him- or herself what makes Mickey cool.” Below we have some screenshots put to a video thanks to GameTrailers. The game reaches back to 1927 to pull Oswald the Luck Rabbit to become the first inhabitant of Yen Sid’s Cartoon Wasteland. Yen Sid is from “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” and is a nickname that Disney animators gave him. Oswald always greets the new retired characters but starts to become resentful of

More information about Epic Mickey will be in next Game Informer

The most recent edition of Game Informer teases that there may be a reveal of Epic Mickey in the next issue of the magazine. The page shows Mickey’s head with a message which says, “Something EPIC is brewing”. Epic Mickey is a title that people have been talking about since the concept art has been released. It’s like Disney meets steampunk and might focus on old/forgotten characters that wish to take revenge against Mickey. We have no real information on the title that Warren Spector and Junction Point have been working on. I attempted to ask Disney Interactive reps about the title at D23 Expo only to get a “that would be cool”. But no real information or acknowledgment of the title. [source via Nintendo Everything]
