Felicia Day will be staring in SyFy Red
Felicia Day noted on Twitter today the following: I can finally say what I’m doing in Canada! RT: @georgeruiz: I see the word’s out about @feliciaday and @syfy: http://bit.ly/aFzZ2M That’s right, the internet darling is going to be staring as Little Red Riding Hood in SyFy’s Original Movie Red. The movie is slated to premier in 2011. Red is the first of a series of new films that will be taking on classic fairy tales. Maybe this is spurned by Alice. The new films will be launched with Beauty and the Beasts: A Dark Tale on February 27. Future tales include Aladdin, Sinbad the Sailor and Hansel & Gretel. It probably won’t stop there if they get a good amount of viewers. In Red, Red brings her fiance home where he learns that her family hunts werewolves. But when he’s bitten by a werewolf the family insists that he has

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog wins an Emmy!
I think most people are with me when I say that “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” is one of the best web series out there. It’s fun and entertaining with just the right amount of evil. Created by Joss Whedon and starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day and Simon Helberg, Dr. Horrible shot to the top of iTunes TV downloads list for three weeks, and is still in the top ten today. Recently, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” won an Emmy for Outstanding Special Class – Short Format Live-Action Entertainment Program! This is really great that something born during the writer’s strike as a short web series wins an Emmy. And I know that all of us at Gaming Angels send them a big congrats on the honor! Don’t forget to also check out the “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog” DVD, which from what I’ve seen has some great extras, such

The Guild panel at Blizzcon
One of the many panels that I was excited to see while at Blizzcon was The Guild. More recently known for the “Do You Want To Date My Avatar” song and video, The Guild is a story based on an online video game guild The Knights of Good. Written by Felicia Day the show centers around the in game and out of game lives of Codex (Felicia Day), Zaboo (Sandeep Parikh), Bladezz (Vincent Caso), Clara (Robin Thorsen), Vork (Jeff Lewis), and Tinkerballa (Amy Okuda). Now on their third season, The Guild has been increasing their fanbase steadily and shows great promise of continuing their rise in popularity. At their Blizzcon panel, they debued the first episode of season three that has some newcomers to the guild, including Wil Wheaton as a rival guild master who will be arching The Knights of Good. Season three looks just as promising and amusing

Dark Horse Loves Felicia Day
You may know her from Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog. You may know her from multiple-slayer Buffy episodes, or from the latest episode of Dollhouse. Most know her from her work on The Guild… The Guild is an award-winning online sitcom about the lives of an online guild “The Knights of Good”, with each webisode 3-7 minutes long. The first episode was posted July 27, 2007. It is broadcast on The Guild’s official website, on iTunes as a podcast, effinfunny.com and YouTube, and is available for download from the Xbox Live Marketplace. The show follows the life of Codex, the healer of The Knights of Good, who attempts to lead a normal life after one of her guildmates shows up on her doorstep. Armed with the knowledge that Ms. Felicia Day writes The Guild (in addition to starring in it), it’s not such a far fetched idea to consider her

Microsoft has announced their SD Comic Con plans. They will have panels talking about their exclusive programming as well as what the new Xbox Live update will feature. “Comic-Con is the biggest pop culture event of the year. It’s the place where geeks can celebrate who they are and get sneak peeks at all the cool stuff coming out,” said Felicia Day, star and creator of “The Guild.” “I can’t wait to unveil season three of ‘The Guild’ and contribute to the excitement of what Xbox is bringing to the show. Xbox 360 is like the superhero of the living room, saving souls from mediocrity and boredom.” The Guild will be starting it’s third season on Xbox Live on August 25. The show is free to watch. New to Xbox Live is “Girls Go Geek” a show exclusive to Xbox Live where Amber MacArthur will “sit down with other girl

Joss Whedon reveals plans for a Dr. Horrible sequel
Joss Whedon recently told a group of reporters that there will be a sequel for Dr. Horrible and it could take any form. He’s open to the idea that it may be another web series or even a feature film. “Well, we don’t want to be beholden to anybody,” Whedon said in a group interview on Tuesday in Hollywood at a Paley Fest panel on the show. “We want to do the product the same way we did the first one, which is out of our hearts, and then go to people [and say], ‘OK, if you’re interested in this, this is what it is.’ Besides, it could be something theatrical. It could be something on the Internet again, where it’s done on the fly and it all comes from us. We don’t know how we want that to be. The best thing to do is to write it. Then
