Yes, if it was EVEN remotely possible PAX just got better-er-er-er-er.  During PAX Prime, Halo waypoint announced that a Halo Fest would be happening all 3 days from 10am to 6pm.  Bringing tournaments, panels and sweet prices.

So, if you are still reading and you haven’t passed out do to how exciting this is, I have one more thing to say….IT’S FREE WITH YOUR PAX PRIME PASS!!!

Midnight in the Heart of Midlothian is written by Frank O’Connor and animated by ONE. It’s based on O’Connor’s “Halo: Evolutions” short story. The story is about bravery and sacrifice in even the darkest depths of space. I don’t want to spoil too much, but for all you hardcore Halo fans out there, you should really check this out. The style is really cool, since it looks just like a comic book except for some motion and action (hence it being a motion comic). I’m pretty much hanging onto my controller waiting for the last part to come out. It’s a pretty simple story, but the way it’s done just has a way of drawing a watcher in and make them want more.

There will be four parts to this series. The first one was released on January 16th. The second one was on January 23th, the third on January 30th, and the final part will be released on February 6th. So for everyone that’s waiting to see it from the beginning, be sure to browse the archives, but for those who are waiting, as I am, for the last part… just a few more days!

Yesterday Naomi informed us that Halo Legends is coming to Australia. Today we have more Halo Legends news!

Halo Legends episode Origins, created by Studio 4oC, will be available on Halo Waypoint for only 24 hours on Saturday on January 2. At least they give us some time after the holidays.

On January 9, there will be an exclusive Making of Origins for 24 hours.

Also on Halo Waypoint is a holiday special from 343 Industries. The guys from Red vs Blue have created a new three-part holiday special that will be up on Waypoint from December 24-26.

Halo anime fans previously saw “The Babysitter”, now fans can watch the next installment in the series, “The Duel”. This is only available for 24 hours and is out right now. To watch, go to Halo Waypoint on Xbox Live.

“The Duel” takes place thousands of years in the past at the dawn of the Covenant. The story follows a shamed Elite who defies his role as an Arbiter to take a path of revenge against those that stole the only thing that mattered to him. This ancient Arbiter must fight his way through ever-growing groups of former allies (Grunts, Elites, Hunters and more) until he finally stands face-to-face with the Elite who betrayed him.

Today is also the last time Silver members will be able to access Halo Waypoint before it goes to Xbox Live Gold members only on November 27.

Halo Legends is being shown in parts on Halo Waypoint. There are reports that it is no longer on Waypoint but you can watch it below, or at least until it gets pulled from YouTube.

Halo Waypoint launches today on Xbox 360. Many of you have already logged in and signed up. The free application tracks Achievements, adds Achievements, and houses the Halo Legends anime. The site also shows progress through the games, screenshots, videos, upcoming news, and avatar goodies.

The Babysitter will be released exclusively on Halo Waypoint on November 7.

Thanks to the awesome community manager at Halo Waypoint, we have new information about the upcoming destination! Halo Waypoint launches on November 5 for fans to access “all things Halo”. Launched from 343 Industries and Certain Affinity, Halo Waypoint will have news and activities as well as new content.

Halo Waypoint will give Halo gamers a career system tied to in-game accomplishments across multiple Halo games. The career tracking will include Halo 3: ODST, Halo 3, Halo Wars and all Game Add-on content for those titles at launch.

Halo Waypoint will also showcase previews of Halo Legends, the anime anthology, starting November 7.

Halo Waypoint will be available to Xbox Live Silver members only for a short time! The trial runs until November 26, after that it will be only available to Gold subscribers.

Halo Anime/Halo Waypoint SDCC

The Halo panel at San Diego Comic Con just ended and there were a couple of surprises. First, the panel was composed of members from various anime studios that worked on the Halo Legends project. The trailer for Halo Legends will be on Spike tv tonight and on Xbox Live.

They also announced Halo Waypoint. This is a new destination for Halo fans that is all things Halo. There will be content, career stats, and it will all be on your 360.

Halo Legends won’t be out until next year, but Waypoint fans will continue to get updates. One of the more interesting points during the panel was the discussion about female characters. The anime studios really wanted to explore the life of a tough female warrior. Bungie worked directly with the anime studios on all aspects of the project to make sure it stayed true to the Halo universe. Most of the stories take place up until Halo 3, while one anime (Toei’s) is a bit outside of the universe.

There is a concept for a character in the anime that does tie into an Alternate Reality Game that may happen in the future.
