Platform: Nintendo DS ESRB: E 10+ Genre: Third Person Action/Adventure Number of Players: 1 Publisher: Electronic Arts (EA) Release Date: June 30, 2009 Official Website Basic Idea as I See It – Playing as Harry Potter, this game takes players around Hogwarts, completing tasks and finding various items for friends and other students. There are bits of story in between the sets of missions that closely follow the movie, and a great many mini games to provide distraction and variety along the way. There are also opportunities to brew potions, duel schoolmates (Slytherins), learn charms, and collect wizard cards, gobstones, chess pieces, and butterbeer which can be used to swap for important objects to help complete the tasks at hand. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince movie review

The Harry Potter movie series has been the first movie series to go past three and still remain good (The last trilogy I’ve liked was Lord of the Rings). With this in mind, and after seeing the trailers, I was very excited to go and see Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I must admit that after seeing the movie though, I’m a bit conflicted on how I feel about it. Visually, the movie looked fantastic. David Yates definitely has an eye for cinematography, and this has helped the overall look of the movies themselves. I was also pleased to see how Draco Malfoy’s character was fleshed out well, and that Tom Felton did a good job of showing Draco beyond being a stuck up bully. Also, I felt that Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter did fantastic jobs in their roles of also fleshing out the characters a bit

Next Potter film delays Imax release

I am devastated to read about the fact that Warner Bros. has chosen to delay the release of the Imax version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. The delay isn’t small either, it’s two weeks. I’m not the only one upset as Imax shares have dropped from the news. “Shares of Imax dropped 4% on Monday to $7.31 after a Wall Street analyst said the delay ‘should negatively impact Imax boxoffice results.’” While Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince opens on July 14, Imax theaters won’t see the movie until July 29. The July release date actually overlaps Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen which is why the Imax date is being postponed. “Potter” contains 12 minutes of 3-D footage that moviegoers can experience only through Imax. Eric Wold said, “There will obviously be some consumers that choose to wait for the Imax version with its 3-D scenes
