From August 22-31, this merry band will release one game a day as voted on by developers. However, the community at large does get a chance to provide some input. From August 1-15, anyone on Facebook can vote on two favorites from the list of more than 70. The community’s two picks will release on September 1 and 2.

How do you know which 10 titles make the cut? Pay attention to Twitter! The day after the polls close on August 16, the winner’s will be announced on IGSU’s Developer Twitter chat at 8 PM, which you can follow by searching the hashtag #IGSU. Don’t be afraid to talk, either!

Here’s a full schedule:

July 4 – July 18: Developer voting for 8 titles to represent the platform
August 1 – August 15: Community voting for 2 additional titles they would most like to play
August 16 – 8PM EST: IGSU Developer Twitter chat, community winners announced
August 22 – September 2:  Promotion and release of 8 developer and 2 community voted titles

Gryomancer is a title we first got information on during Gamescom. It’s been silent since then, but today we got some news about the puzzle/rpg game from Square Enix and PopCap Games.

The brand new trailer shows some of the characters, art and gameplay action. At the end of the trailer, we see that the release date is set for November 18, 2009 for PC and Xbox Live Arcade.

The title joins the story of Square Enix RPG with the puzzle aspects from PopCap Games. It has 12 stages with over 50 monsters to use in battle and an online leaderboard.

Torchlight

I didn’t think there would be game announcements at PAX. Looks like I was wrong. Runic Games has announced that their action RPG, Torchlight will launch on October 27. The dev team features the talent that worked on Diablo, Diablo II and Fate. Torchlight will only be available as a downloadable game for $19.99.

“We have always felt that gaming should first and foremost be about the players and by announcing the launch date of Torchlight to fans at PAX, we’re able to give them a sneak peak of the game before its official release” said Max Schaefer, CEO of Runic Games, Inc. “PAX is a unique venue geared towards video game enthusiasts and we are excited to be showcasing Torchlight and look forward to seeing many of our dedicated fans at PAX.”

If you are at PAX get a look at the game at Booth 872. No details on where we’ll be able to buy it from yet, but we’ll watch for more details.
