    Honey and Clover (film) Review

    Title: Honey and Clover (film) Language: Japanese Subtitles: yes (English) Number of Discs: 1 Runtime: 116 minutes Sometimes it’s good to go through your closet once in a while and pick up something totally different that you probably never got a chance to watch. This is fun especially if the film is good. Honey and Clover is that type of film. I have never seen the anime or read the manga so it was a totally fresh idea and I was completely blind to the story.     Live Action Death Note coming to DVD

    Viz has been screening the live action Death Note movie and it’s almost ready to be released. While the trailer is in English, the movie will be in Japanese with English subtitles. The dvd is planned for release later in the year. Death Note is an amazing story where Light finds a notebook (Death Note) that gives him the ability to kill anyone at will. He just needs to know their face and their name. L is the detective that is trying to find out who is behind the killing spree.     Shugo Chara! DS & Wanko/Nyanko Wii

    written by Natsuki I sometimes pick up Nakayoshi(なかよし月刊), which is a Japanese girl’s manga (漫画 – comic) monthly. They include the newest chapters of all the current manga series by publisher Kodansha (講談社). Series included are mostly geared toward preteens and younger teenagers. Issues often also include news of current events, anime and game releases, and interviews of popular tv stars and singers. I picked up the February issue last night and was excited to to see two new nintendo games featured * I’m a big fan of the manga series ‘Shugo Chara!’ (しゅごキャラ!) . A single player game based on the anime is coming out March 13th for the DS. Judging from the ad, the game seems like it will be fairly simple (for young girls, rather than teens or adults).
