Guest Review: Bone By Jeff Smith

Writer & Artist: Jeff Smith Release Date: 1991 – 2004 GA Amazon Link If you are a comic book fan you more than likely have heard of Bone by Jeff Smith. Bone is one of those graphic novels that have a lot of hype behind it. I was a bit nervous about reading it because I thought I would be disappointed after it being so hyped up. I am happy to say that Bone lives up to the hype and then some. The story revolves around the Bone cousins; Phoney, Fone and Smiley. What exactly are Bones? Well, that’s never really explained. However, they are looked at as more as funny looking foreigners than aliens. At the start of the book the cousins find themselves stranded in a vast desert thanks to Phoney Bone who got three of them run out of their hometown Boneville with one of his scams.

Article: Blast from the PS2 Past

Oh, hai! This is the classic “blast from the past” article, you know? Where said girl rambles on about her best and worst “video-game career” moves. I’ll be happily sailing the seas of the now bargain-bin titles as I nonchalantly forget the beauty of technological advancement. I mean, our species has this annoying habit of studying history and wearing old-school SNES shirts with cliché nerd-banter, so I figure I’d join them because, needless to say, I just as well own a “Legend Of Zelda” T-Shirt when Link was just a puny, princess-chasing, 16-bit elf kid. Only this time, I’m not reaching too far-up the industry’s butt-crack. This list is intended to give both you and I inspiration. It is a walk-through, if you will, that exposes my triumphs in gaming. More importantly, It exposes why I faked being sick through middle-school. I hope I am inspired to re-discover the sexiest

    Review: Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days

Platform: Nintendo DS ERSB: E10 Genre: RPG Number of Players: 1-4 Developer: SquareEnix Release Date: September 29, 2009 The much-anticipated continuation of the Kingdom Hearts saga has arrived! Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days is the first of three new games to be released, this one giving the Nintendo DS some love. This installment features on Roxas’ days in the Organization, his adventures with Axel, and introduces a new member, Number XIV, Xion. While the addition of a new member had a lot of people worried about keeping the essence of the Organization XIII, her presence doesn’t hinder anything. In fact, seeing a young, sweet girl character in contrast to the fiesty Larxene is a pleasant relief. The main screen of the game gives you two options: Story mode and Mission Mode. Let’s take a look at story mode first. The story opens with Roxas and Axel sitting on Twilight Town’s clock

    Kingdom Hearts: Coded (First Look)

Well a while back we heard that Square- Enix would be releasing three new Kingdom Hearts games. Well on November 19, 2008 Square-Enix released Kingdom Hearts: Coded in Japan. The first two episodes: Olympus Coliseum and Traverse Town were preinstalled on the Docomo PRIME Series “P-01A” mobile phone. A while back I had the pleasure of playing the Traverse Town Episode. So I present to you a first look at Kingdom Hearts: Coded: I’ve heard a lot of talk about this game and it was mostly negative: “Well I won’t be playing this game it’s never coming to America anyway and why would I want to play a full length game on a mobile phone?” Why? Because it’s fun that’s why! Kingdom Hearts: Coded never forgot the simple rule that a game should be fun. There are no complex controls, the 8 key is Sora’s attack and since I was

    Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (DS)

I am a huge Kingdom Hearts fan girl and Kingdom Hearts was everywhere at TGS. So I’ll try my best to not sound like a fangirl. I finally found the Square-Enix booth. There was some sort of line there so I just stood there. A Square-Enix rep saw my Media Pass and let me cut the line! (This didn’t work a second time and this was why I couldn’t play Dissidia and Birth by Sleep). Either way for all of the five minutes I played it (They sort of kicked me off early) it was worth it. It felt so different there in my hands than what I had seen and read about on the internet. Anyway the graphics are very good considering this is a DS game. Sure this is no PS2 but wow Square-Enix you came real close! As you may or may not know the bottom is
