In a move that should be appreciated by the geekiest of Star Wars fans everywhere (not that that’s a bad thing!), THQ announced three new iPhone/iPad apps: A successor to Lightsaber Unleashed, a Diner Dash clone, and a Yoda soundboard. (No, I’m not kidding.)

All links go to the respective title in the iTunes App Store.

Star Wars: Cantina Game ($4.99)

It’s Diner Dash. Or any other time management game you want to insert in its place. Cantina drops you in the middle of Tatooine with thirsty customers to serve. Accuracy and speed reward you, they do. (Want the ultimate meta experience? Try listening to the “Star Wars Cantine” Eddie Izzard bit while you play. I won’t link it, due to foul language, but Jeff Vader wants his penne al arrabiatta, and he wants it quickly.)

Star Wars: Yoda Sound Board ($.99)

A sound board it is. Make prank phone calls you will.

Star Wars: Lightsaber Duel ($.99)

Lightsaber Unleashed was really popular, so they’re capitalizing on that success. Really, can you blame THQ? The new version has you choosing from 15 characters and also lets you choose your own music for battles. So, yes, you can practice that lightsaber choreography you practiced to “Party in the USA.”

The Wii sensor bar just tends to lay there in front of or on top of the television in our homes. Not much to look at, and most people wouldn’t even notice it. But maybe you want people to notice it. Or maybe you like the idea of the force holding your Wii Sensor Bar.

Bensussen Deutsch & Associates have created the Darth Vader Sensor Bar Holder for the Wii. It’s licensed from both Nintendo and Lucasfilm Ltd. Maybe not something that every gamer needs but every Star Wars fan might want.

The Darth Vader figure sits there looking menacingly watching your every move as you wave that Wii-remote around. Darth is made of resin and and the Wii Senor Bar becomes a part of his red lightsaber.

The price is $39.99 and you can purchase it below and benefit GamingAngels.com!

The Wii loves its video game accessories, and we eat them up. A while back when The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was released there was an add of a sword and shield for the nunchuk and wii-mote. We have the Wii Fit balance board, the wii bowling ball and other items to go along with it.

Of course, what would be an add-on-ation without discussing every Star War fan’s dream of having a lightsaber.

Dream no longer! Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. or BDA has announced two new Star Wars licensed video game accessories for Wii – the Clone Trooper Blaster and Light-Up Lightsabers.

These add ons are in honor of the new Star Wars game that would be released this September “Star Wars Clone Wars: Republic Heroes”.

In either press release the items are decribed as follows:
“The blaster is designed for use with both the Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™. When a player encounters an enemy, the blaster’s dual-trigger action – one on the barrel and one on the Nunchuk – enables quick blasting!”

While the lightsaber is decribed as:
“Designed for use with the Wii Remote, an on/off switch allows players to control the light-up feature of the lightsaber. The Anakin lightsaber is illuminated with a blue glow, while Yoda’s has a green glow. The Wii Remote fits safely in the lightsaber handle, which was designed for comfort, enabling players to battle at peak performance levels.”

After looking at the images that acompanied the press releases, there are great amounts of detail placed into crafting these items and give off the star wars vibe needed to accompany these games.

Though I have acquired a list of places that these items can be found, I was unable to find a price for either item. The retailer list is as follows:

American retailers include: Amazon.com, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Toys “R” Us and Walmart.
International retailers include: Carrefour, Auchan, FNAC, MediaMarkt, and Micromania in Europe; Sears, Walmart Canada and Zellers in Canada; and EB, Game and Harvey Norman in Australia.
