The Nintendo Channel is getting an overhaul and on September 14 will have a new look and feel. Users will have access to videos and information about current and upcoming Nintendo products. Viewers can also rate and recommend Nintendo games. Nintendo Channel also has the debut of Nintendo Week, a weekly hosted show about what’s happening in the world of Nintendo. The first episode takes a look at Mario and Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story and an interview with developers behind the Wii version of Guitar Hero 5. There will be a few surprises too. The Nintendo Channel is free to Wii owners. So you’ll be able to enjoy the show for free. Club Nintendo announces Elite and Platinum rewards
Club Nintendo has announced their Elite Status rewards. I received the email because I reached Platinum status before June 30, 2009. Those that have reached Gold or Platinum status have until August 11,2009 to redeem their award. Here is what I have to pick from as Platinum: Doc Louis’s Punch-Out! This is a unique one-on-one bought with your mentor and coach, Doc Louis. It’s deisgned for the Wii and only exclusively to Platinum members as a free download. You don’t need the retail version of the game to download the reward. Or Platinum members can pick a Mario Hat. It’s an official red hat that can be a collector’s item or to be worn out at cons. It’s made of polyester and cotton. Gold members can get a Club Nintendo Original Calendar for 2010. What would you pick if you were a Platinum member?

Mushroom Magic: A mushroom themed Mini cleaner
Anything that is Mario inspired gets part of seal of approval. The other half come from the fact that it is functional. This little mini mushroom can clean up those crumbs that have been left on your desk, your clothes, or even in your KEYBOARD! And we all know how annoying those little buggers can be! I mean something that can clean a keyboard without taking out the keys is FAB! It’s a dream come true! Also, they are small enough to sit on your desk. A little discussion piece, or do your whole desk in a mushroom, Mario theme. (I would do it.) This little piece of magic retail for $12, and come in classic red, and green, if your going for the Classic Mario look. But if you are more into th Mario Party style, there is Orange and Purple.
