Marvel teams up with TokiDoki
This might be a dream team. Comic giant is teaming up with TokiDoki for a totally cute line of Marvel wear. TokiDoki is lead by Simone Legno and is known for it’s super cute, Japanese inspired clothing. @MattLeung on Twitter, mentioned the news and I had to post it here! While these designs are not final, you can view them here. I must have the Thor and Unicorn shirt. Must..now.. The TokiDoki/Marvel line will consist of t-shirts, hats, skate deck and other items. No date on the release of the clothing yet, only Spring 2010. Hopefully they will have them for sale at San Diego Comic Con.

Super Hero Squad Show featuring Falcon
Yesterday we received a video from Marvel showcasing the Super Hero Squad Show. This particular video’s subject is Falcon Profile. Here is the text they asked to be with the video. Should give you an idea as to what it’s about: Falcon Falcon flies with wings made of “hard light” (a solid type of hologram). He’s upgraded them with Stark-built “feathers” that shoot out as projectiles. Falcon communicates telepathically with birds, particularly his pet falcon REDWING. He can even “see” through their eyes, which comes in handy when the team needs recon. The original adrenaline junkie, Falcon loves anything that moves fast, flies high or causes severe motion sickness. Passionate and optimistic at 17, he’s a born hot-dogger who’s finally made it to the big leagues. Beneath his jokester persona, he’s got a lot to prove. Falcon’s going to figure out, over time, that he’s as powerful a hero as

Marvel interviews the King of Fashion: Tim Gunn
Marvel announced awhile back about Tim Gunn being featured in a new comic. The cover alone blew our minds. Tim Gunn in an Iron Man suit? Will Tim change the fashion of Marvel? Recently Tim Gunn visited the Marvel offices and met with Marvel’s Senior Fashion editor, Margarita Vaisman. In the video below they talk about Tim’s new project with Marvel and who he thinks is due for a makeover. I love the part where he says he’s more of a “biter and hairpuller”. He seems so awesome in the video. Tim Gunn, I love you. Tim Gunn’s Marvel Universe debut in MODELS, INC. #1 on sale September 9, 2009.

Marvel announces Spider-Woman motion comics
Marvel is in the announcing mood as they have sent another announcement of a second Motion Comic. Marvel is announcing the debut of Spider-Woman Motion Comic Clips which is actually pretty cool because I have to admit that I don’t know much about Spider-Woman so this will be a great way for me to catch up! Here is what Marvel wants to say about the comic: “Marvel is proud to unveil new footage from the critically acclaimed Spider-Woman motion comic! Marvel done with “crappy” movie-based games
The executive vice president of digital media for Marvel, Ira Rubenstein said in an interview with Joystiq that Marvel is finished with making “crappy” movie-based games. They want to have games tied to the release of movies but each character will stay in his/her own world, as in X-men Origins: Wolverine. He used the latest Marvel tie in title to show what the company wants to do. “We are not doing movie-based games anymore,” said Rubenstein. “Actually, wait … we are not doing crappy movie-based games anymore. You can quote me on that.”

Marvel joins PSN for digital reader service
Interesting move as Sony has announced today at GamesCom that the “biggest names in the comics world” will be downloadable through the PS3 and PSP in December. Marvel is the first publisher to be announced that is supporting the effort but there will be other publishers announced “soon”. Details of which comics will be available or pricing are still unannounced. The service will be available in North America and Europe. At San Diego Comic Con, I asked some Marvel artists and writers if they thought Digital Comics was the future. I then specifically asked if we could see comics on the PSP, he looked a little stunned and then said he didn’t know. I wonder now if he did… UPDATE: Here are more details straight from Sony: The Digital library will include other partners such as IDW Publishing, iVerse media and others. There will also be graphic novels as well.

Barnes and Noble cheats Marvel Fans at Anniversary celebration
Today I enthusiastically wrote about the Marvel Anniversary Parties. I researched and wrote three pages of questions for the Q&A held at a Barnes & Noble by me. Well not so close, because of LA traffic, but what should be close in terms of millage. When I showed up at Barnes & Noble no one working there had any idea what was going on. A live of five people were on one side of the room and two of us were on another. Finally someone comes over and says we need a wristband to be in line. Where do we get said wristband? From the cashier on the floor we were on. Wrong. No one was at that counter and we’re told that we have to go down to the first floor to get wristbands. I get online with the customers actually buying books getting a little aggravated. It doesn’t
