Xbox 360S now upgradable to 320 GB

Want 320 GB in your Xbox 360 Slim? Not a problem, that’ll be $130. Yay, proprietary hard drives! Well, that’s not actually a “yay.” It’s more like a “Wow, that’s very expensive.” The hard drives will come with a download code for LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars to help you fill up some of that space. That doesn’t make up for the price, but it helps? Maybe? The new hard drives will go on sale later this month. (This is the same size included in the Gears of War 3 and Modern Warfare 3 bundles, just in case that influences your decision a bit.)

Sold-out music festival coming to your Xbox LIVE Dashboard

Clear Channel Radio and Microsoft have signed a deal bringing the entirety of the iHeartRadio Music Festival right to your Xbox 360 dashboard. Tomorrow and Saturday, the music festival will come to your living room live in HD from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. It’s supposedly celebrating the launch of customizable music stations as part of Clear Channel’s iHeartRadio app. “Since we announced the Festival in July, listener demand has been unprecedented, with fans across the country clamoring for a chance to be part of the biggest live concert in radio history, a show that sold out in just ten minutes,” said John Hogan, President and CEO of Clear Channel Radio. “This partnership with Xbox 360 means that those who cannot be in Las Vegas in person will have the opportunity to experience the event as well through an HD video stream exclusively on Xbox LIVE.” And there’s a

‘Gears of War 3′ will feature a DLC season pass

Gears of War 3 is a few weeks away from launch, but that’s not stopping Microsoft and Epic from letting us know what’s on the way. Several downloadable add-ons are coming for the game (naturally), starting in November. We don’t know exactly what those will be, aside from the fact that they’ll contain both campaign and multiplayer content, but you can “preorder” the first four by purchasing a Season Pass for 2400 Microsoft Points. Yeah, that’s $30. But apparently that’s a 33% savings compared to buying them all separately. It also includes a “Liquid Metal Weapon Set.” Gears of War 3 launches Sept. 20 in three editions — Standard ($59.99), Limited ($79.99) and Epic ($149.99). One of those comes with a lancer or something. So at least there’s that, if you’re planning to drop a Benjamin and a half on the Epic edition.

Take a look at the Xbox 360′s upcoming dashboard

In the future (as in, the very near future), your Xbox 360 is going to learn you instead of the other way around. This recently-released video shows off a lot of the new features coming to the dashboard this year, especially the concept of searching everything with Kinect voice controls. Pretty neat stuff. Take a look:

    Review: Fruit Ninja Kinect (XBLA)

Rating: Rating Pending Developer: Halfbrick Publisher: Halfbrick Release Date: August 10, 2011 Price: 800 MSP BUY I am not lucky enough to own an iPad. I do have friends that are addicted to Fruit Ninja on the iPad, but I never really understood it. Our conversations went like this: Me: “You mean you slice fruit with your finger?” friend1: “Yep” Me: “And this is addicting?” friend1: “Yep” Me: “um..okay” as I walk away from friend1 thinking they are losing it At San Diego Comic Con, Microsoft hosted an event where we got hands on time with games that are coming out soon. After dancing my heart out, I walked over to a guy that was just drenched in sweat. Besides being slightly grossed out, I had to ask him if he was okay. He informed me that he was playing Fruit Ninja and had to get the highest score of

Activision bringing ‘GoldenEye’ to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall

We’ve already seen a remake of N64′s GoldenEye 007 for Wii, but now an even better version, GoldenEye 007: Reloaded, is hitting the PlayStation 3 (with Move support) and Xbox 360 this fall. “We are beyond ecstatic to debut GoldenEye 007: Reloaded to the millions of fans who have been clamoring for it to arrive on Sony and Microsoft home consoles,” said David Oxford, Executive Vice President at Activision Publishing. “And now with full PlayStation Move functionality, 007 fans all around the world can play the game in full HD in more ways than ever before.” In addition to the story campaign most people remember about the game, developer Eurocom is including a new set of “MI6 Ops Missions” that feature specific Assault, Elimination, Stealth and Defense objectives. Multiplayer will include the storied four-player splitscreen as well as full-fledged 16-player online matches that add more characters, maps and weapons than

You’re going on an adventure with Jillian Michaels…a fitness adventure

Majesco Entertainment announced a new exercise title called Jillian Michaels’ Fitness Adventure this morning, and it’s the fitness guru’s Kinect debut. Fitness Adventure sees Jillian dressed as what is basically a fitness-happy Lara Croft with similar objectives, to boot. You’ll be completing a few mission-based objectives Parkour-style in what is apparently a thrill-seeker’s paradise in the jungle. (See? Tomb Raider.) The experience is fully-customizable to fit your own pace and features 10 exercise circuits, all selected by Jillian. Several of the programs also allow you to integrate your own exercise equipment. The game also features social integration, allowing you to compare performances and stats with friends. Jillian (or at least some intern) will be keeping track of the results and posting the best performers on Jillian’s Facebook page. Almost makes me wonder if this game is going to keep video like Dance Central…oh, that would be an embarrassing Facebook post.
