New Clash of the Titans Screens
New screenshots for the video game tie-in to the upcoming Hollywood movie Clash of the Titans were released by Namco Bandai today. Perseus, half God and half man, rises up to save his family and stop the Zeus from unleashing hell on earth. Both the movie and the game will be available on March 26th. If you would like to enter for a chance to win tickets to the movie, simply join the Clash of the Titans Facebook group as they are giving away a pair of tickets daily. Namco Bandai to bring back-catalog available via download
Namco Bandai is the latest company to decide to expand what it does on Xbox Live Games on Demand and Playstation Network by bringing old titles back. The hard-to-find titles and best-selling content will be available for the Xbox 360 in addition to PS One classics and current PSP titles be brought to PSN. “Expanding our digital distribution presence across all major platforms is an essential part of our worldwide corporate strategy,” said Robert Stevenson, vice president of online development at NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “Through this initiative, our consumers will have access to our latest releases, bestsellers and hard to find classics with the press of a button.” The first titles include: Xbox LIVE Games on Demand • Ridge Racer® 6, E for everyone, now available for 1600 Microsoft Points • Beautiful Katamari™, E for everyone, available Q1 2010 PlayStation Network for the PSP system • SOULCALIBUR®: Broken

Tekken 6 gets free update
Perhaps while you’ve been playing Tekken 6, you’ve noticed that some things don’t feel right. Or could be improved. Well Namco Bandai has heard you and is providing a free downloadable update for the 360 and PS3 version of Tekken 6. The update is scheduled for release on November 26. The update improves and fixes problems that users have run into like the following: • Improved input response: improvement of the game’s responsiveness to button / command inputs; • Selectable search priorities for ranked matches: players will be able to set search priorities for opponents in ranked matches based on comparable rank or connection quality as well as location; • Optimized data transmission between fighters and spectators: fight data will be optimized in order to reduce the bandwidth load on the host’s console; • Signal strength bars: the signal strength bar will reflect connection quality more accurately; • Chance to

Namco Bandai reveals a new shooter
Namco Bandai has announced a brand new IP today which is a third person shooter called, Inversion. The game gives players the ability to mess with gravity using the Grappler device. “Inversion will turn the shooter genre upside down – literally,” Namco Bandai’s US director of marketing and public relations Todd Thorson stated. “Saber Interactive’s innovative gravity manipulation feature will blow away any preconceptions of what a contemporary shooter should be.” Inversion is due for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 some time in 2010.

Namco Bandai announces three new executives for North America HQ
NAMCO BANDAI have announced three new key executive appointments for their North American Headquarters. Catherine Fowler joins the team as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Robert Stevenson joins as Vice President of Online Development and Graeme Bayless is the studio’s general manager. “We are very excited to have these three talented game industry veterans have joined our executive staff,” said Genichi Ito, president and chief executive officer of NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. “Each of these individuals brings with them a proven track record of success and leadership in publishing, business development, and studio management, respectively, and will augment NAMCO BANDAI Games’ effort to grow our North American operations.” Fowler has 15 years of experience, previously working for Codemasters Inc and Mattel Inc. Namco Bandai launches Namco Sounds for iTunes
Namco Bandai has announced the launch of Namco Sounds which is an exclusive iTunes music label. The label will offer re-mastered soundtracks from Namco Bandai Games. To celebrate the launch, Namco Sounds will have tracks from PAC-MAN®, Xevious®, and SOULCALIBUR® SUITE – THE RESONANCE OF SOULS AND SWORDS. Releases of songs from other games will be available on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. SOULCALIBUR SUITE – THE RESONANCE OF SOULS AND SWORDS is a soundtrack from the September 1 release of Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny for the PSP performed by the Australia-based Eminence Symphony Orchestra. Single tracks are available for $.99 with albums available for $2.99.

Watch Tower of Duraga online
The Namco game that was first released in 1984, Tower of Duraga has an anime series based on it. Not quite sure why it has taken over 20 years to make, but it you would like to check it out, it’s available here. The first episode is up starting today. You do have to sign up to download. I believe you have to pay to rent the episodes. The first is 100 points. Enjoy.
