Sex and the City 2 is filming in New York

I’m not sure how many members of GA enjoy Sex and the City but I’m excited that they are back and filming the sequel to the 2008 movie. Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon are all back and filming in New York. “It’s a great privilege to be spending time again with this beloved cast and crew and to be filming in New York City,” says Parker. “We look forward to the next few months of this adventure.” Sex and the City 2 reunites the original creative team from the series and they all seem pretty excited to move forward on the project. States King, “We are thrilled to have the luxury to continue to tell the story of these four iconic women characters: Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte and Samantha. We will do our best to entertain the loyal fans who were so supportive of the first

I got a chance to sit down with some of the nice guys from Funcom, and designers for The Secret World while I was at PAX this past weekend.  They showed shared some exciting new information, videos and screenshots about The Secret World, and I can now share what I know with you. First up, as Trina posted while I was gone, they’ve announced the three factions for The Secret World: Dragons, Templars and the Illuminati.  We now also know that the Dragons will be headquartered

Make history with the National September 11 Memorial & Museum

Today we remember a tough and sad day in the history of our country. The attacks on September 11, 2001 were a horrible event and a lot of amazing people were lost that day. Yesterday, the National September 11 Memorial & Museum put out the call internationally to “Make History” and contribute their media to the museum. You can submit your photos, videos or personal stories to their new site 911history.org where it will be added to all of the other archived material so that the site will eventually become a web based, interactive mapped timeline of the events of the day. I think this is an interesting concept because we have all seen various clips of what the news cameras caught as well as some videos from people on the street that day as well as afterwards. This could turn into quite an interesting archive of the events of

Guest Article: Deep Silver games for 2009 in NYC

Deep Silver brought their impressive 2009 line up of games to New York City on August 5th, and I was lucky enough to be in attendance. The titles included were; Cursed Mountain for the Wii, Risen for the PC/360, Fritz Chess for the DS/PS3/Wii, and Mytran Wars for the PSP. The event was reasonably crowded, with Cursed Mountain and Risen drawing the most attention, and with very good reason. After muscling my way through the crowd of people in awe of Cursed Mountain’s creepy, yet remarkably engrossing environments I was able to get a first hand look at the game, and found myself thoroughly impressed by it. Cursed Mountain follows the story of Eric Simmons, our protagonist and top tier mountain climber, on his quest to find his brother, Frank. Eric’s journey takes him to Mount Chomolonzo in the Himalayas, where he encounters various ghosts and spirits inhabiting the mountain.

Stealthyslyth visits Wuhu Island and plays Wii Sports Resort

Last week I was able to head over to  check out the little piece of tropical paradise that Nintendo created in order to showcase their new game Wii Sports Resort. It was complete with a small pool, sand, palm trees and refreshing drinks. Let me tell you, this was one heck of a strange site to see smack dab in the middle of New York City! As I walked in I was given a blue and white flower lei and shown to the cabana tents that were set up that had Wii consoles and TVs set up for some of the games you could play, as well as a few booths for free-play.  I was able to sneak in and play the Archery,  Swords and Canoeing. I was surprised with how much of a difference the Wii MotionPlus addon to the controller helped with the coordination. The Archery was much

Rhythm Heaven event in New York City

When I got the e-mail from Trina that said that Nintendo was having an event at Scratch DJ Academy in New York City I did not know what to think. In fact I was thinking about not going at first but it was Easter break and since I had nothing to do I decided to go anyway. Getting there was not as big of a problem as I thought it would be and once I got off the train I was right where I needed to be. Once I had reached the second floor of the building the lights and sounds of a party hit me and right then I knew I was in the right place. After a little misunderstanding I signed my guests and myself in. My guest just happened to be my mother and my sister who decided to tag along despite my protests. We were all
