Sneak in the shadows and stalk potential suspects as Wei Shen, an undercover cop, tries to dismantle a criminal organization—the Hong Kong Triads.

Sleeping Dogs offers shoot-outs at every corner of the city adorned in neon lights bordering the streets. Guns aren’t the only method of combat. Get up close and pound enemies with martial arts and objects found in the city.

The United Front Games and Square Enix game is an open-world cop drama that will be released later this year for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

“Working on Sleeping Dogs has been such a huge passion for the team at United Front Games and we’re really pleased to be working with Square Enix London Studios,” said Stephen Van Der Mescht, Executive Producer at United Front Games. “The extensive experience both our studios have in creating compelling openworld gameplay and rich and rewarding combat makes for a perfect partnership. Working together we can make sure that Sleeping Dogs is the most intense and immersive experience it can be.”

Does this game look a little familar? It should. After Activision canned True Crime: Hong Kong last year, Square Enix picked up the game…but not the IP rights. Oops? Not really — Square Enix was basically just forced to rebrand the entire thing, and Sleeping Dogs is the result.

Here’s a trailer to get your feet wet.

The game will be available through Steam and other digital channels (like Origin) on February 16 for $29.99 (or $34.99).

PC gamers will be able to experience the entire game, plus the DLC, all in one package.

“We’ve done our best to do justice to the PC version and do things the way they should be done for PC. The PC version looks absolutely beautiful. We’re bringing the game to life in a whole new way,” said Markus Mäki, CTO at Remedy.

The PC version will also include support for stereoscopic 3D and multiscreen-capable setups. Developers have also added features like field of view adjustment and a “Hide HUD” feature.

The video says it all, really. “Four amazing indie games in the most crossplatformish bundle we’ve ever done.”

The Humble Bundle, which started out offering PC, Mac and Linux games, is expanding to Android in their latest bundle deal, which starts today and ends in two weeks.

The pay-what-you-want bundle features three games in its main bundle package — Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos and EDGE.

However, pay more than the average bundle price (at the very beginning of the sale, that was $7.07), and you’ll unlock the fun physics game World of Goo for your Android device.

But hey — even if you don’t have an Android tablet, phone or anything else using Google’s OS, you can still get in on this bundle. In addition to receiving the games for Android, you’ll also get them for PC, Mac and Linux. Four platforms for play, four games, your price. Still cool, as usual.

Also as usual for the Humble Bundle folks, you’ll be able to allocate some of your purchase to charity — this time, Child’s Play and the Electronic Frontier Foundation, two classic Humble Bundle choices. You can also allocate some of that cash to the Humble Bundle creators in a Humble Tip. Remember, they’ve got to keep the website going somehow.

Here’s a video showing off everything included in this bundle.

Wander through the village of Eveningstar this summer when Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast bring back the classic Forgotten Realms locale to Dungeons & Dragons Online.

The new expansion, Menace of the Underdark, will not only bring back Forgotten Realms, where citizens of Cormyr must combat a new threat, but players can also explore the subterranean caverns of Underdark. This is the first expansion to the MMORPG that will give players a new level cap of 25 and a new class.

The caverns of Underdark create new obstacles for players to overcome. Gamers must fight the Drow, take over their city Shindylryn, and defeat Lolth, the Drow goddess.

Gamers can now play as a Druid, casting nature magic and transforming into a wild beast at will and travel through the King’s Forest.

“2012 is going to be our biggest year yet with a wealth of new content throughout the year including the launch of our first expansion pack,” said Fernando Piaz, Executive Producer of Dungeons & Dragons Online. “We are very excited to expand into the Forgotten Realms setting with a whole new storyline, level cap increase and the new Druid class!”

Dungeons & Dragons is bringing this free-to-play MMORPG back to its roots, with Forgotten Realms and the Druid class.

In a short update from Travis Baldree over at Runic Games, it was announced that Torchlight II, originally planned for release this year, well…won’t hit that mark. Doesn’t mean they didn’t try, at least!

“…[W]e made a good run at that,” Baldree wrote. “We’ve come to the realization, however, that getting a game of this scope up to the quality and polish level we want to achieve is going to take a little longer; especially since we want to run a small beta before release to ensure that our launch is smooth.”

Today, Runic released a State of the Game podcast that you can take a listen to if you’re wondering what, exactly, led to this delay. But Travis still hopes you won’t be too sad about the game’s delay:

Besides, you’re all playing Skyrim right now anyway, aren’t you? Or Battlefield 3? Or Uncharted 3? Or Saints Row 3? Or Arkham City? Or Skyward Sword? Or Minecraft? Or Modern Warfare 3? Or Dark Souls? Or Assassin’s Creed Revelations?

Those are awesome games. When Torchlight 2 goes live, we want it to be awesome too – all the way through.

As a result, Playdead’s been able to buy back the company from its early investors, and they’re also starting work on their next title.

“With the success that Limbo has achieved, we felt this was the ideal time to fully regain our independence,” said Dino Patti, Playdead CEO. “We are grateful to everyone who supported us over the past few years, and look forward to forging new partnerships that will both let us reach new heights as a studio and give our director, Arnt Jensen, room to grow creatively.”

Playdead also announced that a Mac version of Limbo is now in development.

A demo of Disney Universe is now available on both Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, as of yesterday.

The demo allows you to jump into the Pirates of the Caribbean universe as one of four characters: Mickey Mouse, Mike Wazowski, Stitch and (of course) Jack Sparrow.

This is in addition to Best Buy stores offering the demo up for play starting December 12. Yeah, the game is already out (for Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC), but this way you get to try before you buy.
