Pre-order ‘Mass Effect 3′ on Origin, get ‘Battlefield 3′ free
We’ve seen this sort of thing before — when Battlefield 3 was prepping for release, all of a sudden EA’s Origin service offered a deal providing a copy of Dead Space 2 to anyone who pre-ordered the game using the service. Now, assuming you want it, Origin is making a similar deal — pre-order Mass Effect 3 and get Battlefield 3 for free. This is all assuming, of course, that you can stop playing the Mass Effect 3 demo that dropped yesterday. And that you actually want the game for PC, because this is an Origin-only deal. Does marketing a game with pre-order content like this make you more likely to buy it in advance?

The Humble Bundle moves into Android territory
The video says it all, really. “Four amazing indie games in the most crossplatformish bundle we’ve ever done.” The Humble Bundle, which started out offering PC, Mac and Linux games, is expanding to Android in their latest bundle deal, which starts today and ends in two weeks. The pay-what-you-want bundle features three games in its main bundle package — Anomaly: Warzone Earth, Osmos and EDGE. However, pay more than the average bundle price (at the very beginning of the sale, that was $7.07), and you’ll unlock the fun physics game World of Goo for your Android device. But hey — even if you don’t have an Android tablet, phone or anything else using Google’s OS, you can still get in on this bundle. In addition to receiving the games for Android, you’ll also get them for PC, Mac and Linux. Four platforms for play, four games, your price. Still cool,

‘Torchlight 2′ delayed to 2012
In a short update from Travis Baldree over at Runic Games, it was announced that Torchlight II, originally planned for release this year, well…won’t hit that mark. Doesn’t mean they didn’t try, at least! “…[W]e made a good run at that,” Baldree wrote. “We’ve come to the realization, however, that getting a game of this scope up to the quality and polish level we want to achieve is going to take a little longer; especially since we want to run a small beta before release to ensure that our launch is smooth.” Today, Runic released a State of the Game podcast that you can take a listen to if you’re wondering what, exactly, led to this delay. But Travis still hopes you won’t be too sad about the game’s delay: Besides, you’re all playing Skyrim right now anyway, aren’t you? Or Battlefield 3? Or Uncharted 3? Or Saints Row 3?
