God of War Ascension multiplayer announcement

Last week we were invited to attend a screening by Sony where they revealed more details about God of War Ascension. The game has a single player story mode, but will include for the first time….multiplayer. The story itself takes place as a prequel. Finding out what made Kratos who he was. A main goal that the Sony team is trying to achieve is that they are working to push the Playstation 3 to it’s limits. Adding to the game, they have created a new combat and soul system where players can upgrade their skills and weapons. Follow

‘Killzone 3’ launches standalone multiplayer next week

On the latest edition of the PlayStation Blogcast, the crew revealed that a standalone version of Killzone 3‘s multiplayer is on the way. What’s more is that this version of the game’s multiplayer is, in essence, free-to-play. It’s a free download, with a level cap, and if you want to unlock the “full” experience, that’s $14.99. The game will be available for download this Tuesday. Will this set a precedent for other games? If this is successful, will we see other games’ multiplayer modes become available without purchasing the entire game? It could definitely make the FPS market look a lot more interesting. Follow

‘Jet Grind Radio’ shredding its way to XBLA and PSN

It didn’t take much to let the whole world know that Jet Grind Radio, the Dreamcast classic, is on its way back. The only potential issue here is that licensing the music might not happen (remember, that happened with Crazy Taxi and the game wasn’t quite the same). Now, if only we could get original Xbox exclusive Jet Set Radio Future, I would be right as rain. Watch the teaser below. Follow
