Review – Marble Saga: Kororinpa
When I first got Marble Saga: Kororinpa I was excited to check out what looked like it would be a very fun marble maze game. I had read about improvements that were going to be made from the first game, such as more levels, so I was looking forward to playing a revamped and fun puzzle game. Rating: E for Everyone Genre: Puzzle Publisher: Hudson Soft Release Date: March 17, 2009 RENT In general the game is pretty fun. You have 150 stages to play through, each one featuring interesting twist and turns that you have to guide your marble through. The one part that is off is the weird story that they try to insert regarding Anthony the Ant who needs to get the Golden Sunflower. You can get through this dialogue fairly quickly and move into the various stages of the game. The first few stages get you

ESRB: E Genre: Adventure/Puzzle Number of Players: 1 Publisher: EA Play Release Date: September,2009 Available on Wii and DS. Buy MySims Agents is the newest title in the MySims franchise. MySims Kingdoms was the first title to include a story and it was easy to fall in love with MySims Kingdoms characters. Since MySims Kingdoms sold well, it’s great to see the team back with a new title. MySims Agents uses characters that we met in My Sims Kingdoms and adds a few new ones. Players start by creating their own customized secret agent. Customizing your agent is very easy and throughout the game you gain more items to change into. Customizing doesn’t stop at hair or clothing, gamers are also able to customize the pitch of their agent’s voice and decorate their

Guest Article: Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box Tea Party in NYC
Nintendo celebrated their launch of their highly anticipated, “Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box;” the follow up to 2008′s acclaimed “Professor Layton and the Curious Village” with a posh tea party at the Carlyle in New York City. Upon being seated, beside a teacup and a dessert dish at each table was a DS Lite, for us to try the game on. While being served a variety of pastries, scones and tea, I noticed nearly all of the guests present were women, interestingly. We opened our DS Lites and were given a chance to try the game. Fans of “Curious Village” and gamers new to the series alike will not be disappointed. Boasting over 150 unique puzzles, including brain teasers, logic, sliding, memory and even math oriented mini games, to name a few. The game opens with Dr. Andrew Schrader, Professor Layton’s mentor and friend, inviting him and Luke to

Dream Chronicles Review
Platform: PC ESRB: Everyone Genre: Puzzle Number of players: 1 Publisher: PlayFirst Buy Graphics: The graphics are really nice. This is a good thing, since most of the game involves the finding of objects hidden in the scene. The backgrounds have a really beautiful style to them. The lighting in some scenes just adds a little more of a challenge to the game itself. Really, there’s very little to complain about here. Controls: The controls are simple enough. Everything is done with the mouse. The player clicks on things to interact with them. If the object can’t be used, then nothing happens. There is also a journal that keeps track of important events, shows how many dream jewels you have filled up, and a map that has all of the locations the player has visited. The crystal ball is the biggest help. When it is clicked on, the man in

Rubik’s World for the Wii
Genre: Puzzle Platform: Wii Publisher: Game Factory Release date: November 2008 Official Website Rent A few weeks ago, I announced that Rubik’s World was the recipient of the 2009 Parent’s Choice Silver Award. Here is the full review. This family friendly puzzle game offers seven minigames designed to stimulate the mind and teach children how to use reasoning and creativity. By giving life and character to each of the building blocks of the Rubik’s Cube, Rubik’s World has created the cubie. Graphics: From the title screen through each of the minigames, Rubik’s World is a vivid and beautiful design. Colorful cubies exist in their own universe. The color and graphics create a wonderful place to explore. Sound: The music and sound really help to create the alternate universe. Rubik’s World takes the traditional music scoring to a new level by using a minigame to allow players to help develop this
