PK Cards: The Broken Seal
Over the weekend I had the chance to test out PK Cards for a local card shop that I do a lot of work with. I was given 4 starter decks, about 20 boosters, and told to grab 3 friends and take over a table to play. At first we were all a little unsure about what was going on, spending at least 30 minutes reading over rules and things. It has a hint of Magic: the Gathering to it, where there are five elements. Unlike Magic, though, these are based on the Chinese element circle of Fire, Wood, Metal, Water, and Earth. The rules can seem a bit confusing at first, but like most things, this is best to just play. The gist of it is you have an Avatar that represents you. Shonen Jump Championship Comes to Gen Con
Gen Con (August 15-16) will be the second stop in the Shonen Jump Championship series. Players can sign up for a Player ID and a COSSY number at the event if they don’t have one already. It costs $20 to entry, and all players will get five booster packs just for signing up. Any participant with a standard Gen Con badge will also get five extra packs from the Crimson Crisis expansion. Registration for the tournament will start at 8:00 a.m. on August 15. Round One will start at 10 a.m. The first place winner will win paid travel and accommodations to the 2010 National Championship as well as a trophy, cards, and a year subscription to the Shonen Jump Magazine. Desktop Coffee Maker
If anyone on this site knows coffee it’s me. I have a coffee mug in both my forum and Gaming Angel Staff icons for this site. I collect mugs, enjoy tasting new kinds and one of my favorite places to be is this little whole in the wall coffee shop in the Downtown area. I like my coffee. The downside for me is, when I want my coffee fix I have to travel to the kitchen, turn on my massive coffee marker and wait for a cup of my black gold.
