An innocent game turns deadly in new Sci-Fi manga
Finally! A manga based on a video game! Well, it’s news to me if it has been done before BUT has it been done like the new manga “BOKURANO: OURS” before? The story: It’s summer and 15 kids walk into a nearby seaside cave. They meet a strange man in the cave who invites them to play a brand new video game. Instead of running from the strange man (because we all know about stranger danger!) they let him explain the premise of the game, which is to pit one giant robot against alien invaders. The catch however is that they have to sign a contract to play the game. Little do they know what they are signing, and when they realise what they’ve gotten themselves into it’s already too late to change their minds. Dark Void being made into a movie?
What does video game Dark Void and actor Brad Pitt have in common? Movies! That’s right, Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment is teaming up with Reliance BIG Entertainment, and Capcom to create a film based on the Dark Void video game. The movie is being created as a sci-fi action flick that may even see Brad Pitt star in it. The game is due for a January 19, 2010 North American release and European release on January 22, 2010. “As a game, Dark Void was developed with a wide-screen mentality – a world full of adventure presented in cinematic scope and scale,” said Germaine Gioia, senior vice president, licensing, Capcom Entertainment. “Plan B recognized the potential of our newest property and are as excited about bringing Dark Void to life in cinemas as Capcom is to bring the interactive experience to home theaters.” Plan B seems to be

Atari sets ship date for Star Trek Online
Atari has confirmed the release date for Star Trek Online. It’s set for a release on February 2, 2010 in North America and February 5, 2010 across Europe and Australia. “Star Trek Online is poised to become the ultimate Star Trek gaming experience,” said Jim Wilson, CEO of Atari, Inc. “Throughout the last four decades, Star Trek has been a mainstay in pop culture, influencing legions of fans through television, film, and more.
