iPhone 3G and 3Gs both getting MMS support, finally
Many non-iPhone users have come up to me stating that at least their phone gets MMS support. Something most cell phones do. Except the iPhone. It wasn’t a big deal to me personally, but many iPhone users found it annoying. Now they can celebrate because on September 25 MMS support is coming to the iPhone 3G and 3Gs. AT&T has confirmed on their facebook page the following: ” An Update on iPhone MMS for our Mobility Customers We know many of our iPhone customers are eager for an update on our rollout schedule for Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS). We’ve been working for the past several months to prepare our systems and network to ensure the best possible experience with MMS when it launches – and that launch date is: September 25 for iPhone 3G and 3GS customers. iPhone owners most dissatisfied with Battery Life
A new report on “Retaining and Attracting new Customers: Profiling the Apple iPhone User” details what existing iPhone users are dissatisfied with. The thing that peeves iPhone users the most…the battery life. Or lack there of really. “iPhone owners use more features on a regular basis than non-iPhone owners, with two-thirds browsing the web and sending personal emails daily—features which will considerably drain battery life,” according to Paul Brown, Senior User Experience Analyst at Strategy Analytics. Kevin Nolan, Vice-President at Strategy Analytics, added, “Given the importance placed on features and style by existing iPhone owners, it is important for Apple to continue to provide innovative, compelling devices, while recognizing the need for improved battery strength.”
