Watch out Warhammer, a new miniatures game has stepped on the field! Wells Expeditions has just released Arcane Leigons, their first-ever collectable mass action miniature game. With the right mix of magic and antiquity, the game lets huge armies fight it out in less than two hours. Fast and fun, the game boasts troops based on the Roman Empire, the Egyptian Imperium, and the Han Dynasty invaders. A starter set include 120 figurines and there are army packs and booster packs, divided up by faction. With a MSRP of $34.99 for a starter set, this is a quick and affordable game to start and play. There has been an immense amount of support and excitement for the game already. Conquer the world on your iPhone with Sid Meier’s Civilzation Revolution
Now you can conquer the world from your phone. 2K Games have announced the iPhone and iPod touch version of Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution. As a special introduction offer, for the next 48 hours the price of the game will be $4.99. After that it goes back up to the standard $9.99. “We’re thrilled to deliver our signature strategy game on such an exciting and dynamic platform,” said Sid Meier, director of creative development at Firaxis Games, and lead designer on Sid Meier’s Civilization Revolution. “We choose platforms based on where we feel consumers will have the best gameplay experience with our titles, and the iPhone allows us to introduce this gameplay to mobile consumers – new and old.” There are 16 playable civilizations, many difficulty levels and a new tutorial for mobile users. Band of Bugs Avatar Update & Kaloki DLC
I have never been the greatest at strategy games. They always seem to take a while for me to figure out the patterns, usually after about the 10th death in a row. After a while I get into a groove, but more often than not, I never seem to finish them. But the teasing of NinjaBee Games via their Twitter account about Avatars casting spells & battling giant bugs intrigued me. So a couple days before the Avatar update and new DLC was released, I found myself preparing with the game’s original star, Maal. We got off to a rough start; I was trying to get used to the controls, Maal kept getting into harm’s way. Once we got the ball rolling, I was having a great time.
