Starting Tuesday at 8am, gamers can pick up Gears of War 3 at Target. Gamers can trade in iPhones, iPads, cellphones, video games, and DVDs to receive credit at Target to use toward their purchase.

Fashionistas everywhere woke up early to hit the Target website today. The Missoni collection officially went on sale today and promptly crashed the site. Unfortunately those going to brick and mortar stores may not fair any better. There are reports of people online since 2am and just filling their cart with as much merchandise as they can. Probably not in the manner of keeping, but for re-selling at a marked up price on Ebay.

Just Dance is a huge success as a franchise. I’ve played it with my mom (on the Wii) and we have a blast. Next up for the franchise is Just Dance 3 and this time both Kinect and Playstation Move will be supported. To celebrate the launch, Ubisoft has teamed up with Target to offer two exclusive songs and a collectible pre-order card.

The Target exclusive edition of Just Dance® 3 will feature the following two bonus tracks: “Only Girl [In the World]” by Rihanna and “Airplanes” by B.o.B. Just Dance 3 is available in Target stores nationwide beginning October 7, 2011.

Target guests can receive 5 percent off their purchase if they use their Target REDCard. Target guests can also pre-order the title for $1 and receive a collectible reservation card. Bring that card back up to 7 days after purchase and get a $5 Target gift card. Remember Target also offers a trade in service, which is another way to lower the price. Just Dance 3 will be available October 7, 2011 for $39.99.

The 3DS is going on sale folks! We’ve heard about the sale in general, but our friends at Target are letting you get a deal early! Shoppers can now pick up a 3DS at Target for $169.99. The reason you’ll want to do it sooner than later (if you are in the market for one) is because you’ll be able to take advantage of the Nintendo Ambassador program and get 20 free downloadable games. You just have to register your Nintendo 3DS with the Nintendo eShop before 11:59PM EST on August 11.

Another way to earn money toward the purchase is to use Target’s trade-in program. Guests can trade in used iPhones, iPads, iPods, Nintendo DS units, cellphones, video games, calculators and DVDs, and receive credit good for Target purchases. And to take advantage of the great deals like the 3DS sale!

I normally wait until Sunday to post about game sales. But Target reached out to tell us about their video game and electronic sales that start this Sunday.

For the games, if you buy any 2 video games you get one free. Which is a huge benefit right now since there are so many games to choose from.

Kinect gamers can get a $20 Target gift card if they purchase a Xbox Kinect bundle. The Kinect goes on sale on November 4th.

For the family gamers, there is a 250GB Toy Story PS3 Bundle for $349.99.

For the electronics, Vizios and Samsung HDTVs are on sale. Enjoy and spend wisely!

Every week Target shows their focus on the gaming industry with targeted sales. Earlier in the year, Target re-designed their stores to expand their consumer electronics area.

Today we learn that Target has launched their Electronics Trade-In program. In the program, guests’ used items are “either refurbished and resold to a secondary market or properly recycled”. This makes sense for consumer electronics like digital music players, cameras, and phones. But for games as well? Guests will get credit toward any Target purchase when they turn in their new or used video games, mobile phones and iPods.

“Our goal is to create the best and easiest shopping experience for our guests. As we continue to grow and enhance our consumer electronics business, we designed 1-877-myTGTtech to assist guests with any questions and technical support on their electronics purchases,” said Mark Schindele, senior vice president, Target. “Target Electronics Trade-In offers our guests an opportunity to upgrade their consumer electronics items for less and Target Mobile ensures a convenient cell phone shopping experience.”

Here are more details on the game trade in. Guests can bring their item to the Target Mobile counter for appraisal and then decide if they want to trade the item in and get the Target credit. The listed max is $200 per item which depends on the product and it’s condition. The program will launch starting September and be in 850 stores by the end of the year.
