A Look At: Ghost Watch Online

Ghost Watch is an up and coming TCG/MMORPG (An MMORPG with it’s combat centered around your deck of cards, similar to Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories or Lost Kingdoms for the GameCube) created and developed by NCore, Inc. While most MMO’s are less focused on strategy nowadays, and more about having the correct equipment while mindlessly spamming the same few abilities, Ghost Watch hopes to offer a more strategic approach to the genre, while quickening the battle pace of most online games as well. It also hopes to reach fans of traditional card games, such as Magic: The Gathering and Yu Gi Oh., greatly widening it’s appeal to a large variety of gamers, and tabletop gamers alike. The story centers around your character, a “Ghost Watcher” (a summoner of sorts) who must protect the world you reside in from with the help of powerful creatures you summon through cards. Unlike

New Nightfall card – Enraged Wight

We have a new preview from the folks at Nightfall. The next card for preview is the Enraged Wight. This was actually voted on by fans of the Nightfall facebook page. So here is the breakdown of the Enraged Wight card. He looks pretty angry! “Enraged Wight is interestingly enough the only ghoul minion in the base set! There is an action that features ghouls, but as of yet ghoul activity isn’t as widespread as that of the vampires and werewolves, but one might expect that to change as expansions release… Enraged Wight  is another of the starter deck cards and as such only links to his own color, and features a self-removal trait and the chain effect to inflict a direct 1 damage straight to your opponent. He has two strength, more than Charlotte did, which can also damage the opponent if he gets through to them. He wields

    Nightfall Charlotte Reyes preview

Due to the lunar eclipse last night, Nightfall thought to send us a surprise preview. The special preview describes the card Charlotte Reyes. One of the amazing illustrations that I pointed out in the last article. “Charlotte Reyes. She’s one of the starting deck cards. 12 cards for every player, 2 each of 6 minions. Each of the 6 represents one of the colors in the game, and only chains to its own color. You’ll notice her “In Play” effect. It is shared by all of the starter cards, essentially if she comes into play, whenever she is destroyed or discarded she removes herself from the game. This way your deck automatically thins out your starting cards as you build up your functioning deck from the cards you buy. You’ll also note her zero Influence cost and that her name is in gold, these are just reminders that she’s a

    Konami provides official protective sleeves

Who knew that protective card sleeves were so important? I play TCGs and don’t have a single one in a protective sleeve. But maybe if the sleeves were as cool as the ones Konami made for their Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. The sleeves help you protect your cards from damage. In the heat of battle, anything can happen. Duelists can get upset in defeat and lash out and you want to make sure your card doesn’t get ripped. On September 14th, the 50 sleeve pack will be available. The cost is $3.99. A small price to pay for perfect fighting cards. Follow
