    Review: Rozen Maiden (Season 1)

You know, I’m really getting a lot of new anime added to my favourites list lately. Guess what just got added? Live Musicians score M.U.D TV soundtrack

The people at Kalypso Media (UK) and AFA Interactive have let us know about a new PC game in development called “M.U.D TV” which is due out in March 2010. In “M.U.D TV” (Mad, Ugly, Dirty Television) you play as a top TV Executive who has to nurture a troubled TV station in to a success story by raising the ratings and bringing in the advertising revenue. The game also needs music to set the mood – enter 4 musicians to compose and record a soundtrack. Musicians Johannes Semm, Boris Royko, Cornelius Ulrich and Michael Pätz composed the score as well as playing the instruments themselves and recording it in a studio. This resulted in a mixture of funk, chill out and soul music. A 5 minute medley of their efforts is available for download at www.kalypsomedia.com/downloads/mudtv-medley.zip. “M.U.D TV” is being developed by Kalypso Media’s own studio Realmforge. If you’d

Leverage returning to TNT in 2010

I cannot even tell you how much I like this show.  I’m super excited to say that Leverage is coming back for it’s THIRD! season in January.  If you haven’t had a chance to watch Leverage, you’re missing out on one of the funniest and clever con shows, pretty much ever.  I’m a huge fan of crime comedies, and this show is just perfect.  You can watch pretty much all the episodes of Season 1 and 2 either on TNT in reruns or on the TNT website to get all caught up before the new season starts.  If you’ve been watching, but need a recap of last season, take a look at the video below.  Keep an eye out once the new season starts, the past two seasons, TNT has hosted a website crime game where you can try and be like one of the team, and the mini-games are

2nd Ben 10 Live-Action film coming to DVD

If you have not heard of Ben 10 by now, maybe it’s time to pay attention. Just about every kid I’ve seen that comes close to anything related to the series, whether it’s a DVD or a toy, has to have it despite their parents constant refusals. It is seriously bigger for them than Pokemon was for us. Anyway, it appears that Ben 10 has gotten a second live-action film titled “Ben 10: Alien Swarm”. It is directed by Alex Winters who most of us would know as Bill from the “Bill and Ted” movies. Way. The cast is different from the first live-action film and is lead by 4 young people (below), with Ryan Kelley in the role of Ben Tennyson. The story of the movie sees Ben break ranks of the Plumbers (the secret group he is in that battles alien forces) to assist Elena (a mysterious young

Reading Rainbow to air final episode today

“Butterfly in the sky, I can go twice as high Take a look, it’s in a book – Reading Rainbow. I can go anywhere! Friends to know and ways to grow – Reading Rainbow.” I guess all good things do come to an end. I always thought I would one day watch Reading Rainbow with my child the way my mom watched it with me. I remember as a kid being addicted to Reading Rainbow. I also read a ton, dragging my mom to the library as I checked out 10 books at a time. That’s why it’s so disheartening to have to write that after 26 years, Reading Rainbow will air it’s final episode today. The show began in 1983 and is right behind Sesame Street and Mister Rogers for longest running children show. The show is ending due to financial reasons. To renew the show would have cost
