Sony’s second press conference at Tokyo Game Show
Sony’s Tokyo Game Show Keynote might have been a bit of a bore, but they have a second chance right now! Only two hours after the Keynote, Sony held a press conference entirely in Japanese. We got the following information from Kotaku’s live blog. John Laydon from Sony Japan was on stage and started the conference talking about how Sony wants to have 1000 PSP games in retail by the end of the year. Gran Turismo 5 has been dated for March 2010 release and the game will feature text and online voice chat. Yoshinori Kitase,Final Fantasy XIII producer from Square Enix took the stage to announce the FFXIII special edition Lightning PlayStation 3. It’s pink and white And comes with a 250GB HDD. Capcom announces two new games at Tokyo Game Show
The Tokyo Game Show news keeps pouring in. Capcom has announced that two titles on display at Tokyo Game Show 2009, will be coming to North America and Europe in 2010. Both Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes and Ghost Trick will be heading out west next year. Ghost Trick is the image above and it will be a puzzle/adventure game on the DS. Players take the role of Sissel (a ghost) and try to protect the lives of people while trying to figure out how he died. Sengoku BASARA Samurai Heroes, will be on the Playstation 3 and Wii. Players will take up swords and fight against large numbers of opponents. No dates or trailers out yet for either of these titles. UPDATE: We have a trailer for Sengoku Basara Samurai Heroes

Project Natal demo in Japan and announced Partners
Microsoft is at Tokyo Game Show this week giving many gamers a glimpse at Project Natal. Microsoft kicked things off by announcing partners that are working on Natal based projects. They are: Activision Blizzard Bethesda Capcom Disney Interactive Electronic Arts Konami MTV Games Namco Bandai Sega Square Enix THQ Ubisoft A video was released earlier today showing Microsoft director, Kudo Tsunoda demoing Ricochet and Burnout Paradise for a local news show in Tokyo. GameSetWatch, who posted the video, says to make sure to watch the bit at 03:35 when “Tsunoda slowly claps with the Japanese host, cheering, ‘Yes, very good for you. I’m so happy,’ before turning to flash a cheesy smile and give a thumbs up.” That alone makes it priceless and the surfing music. Enjoy!

Sony Tokyo Game Show Keynote highlights
“Sony’s New Strategy for 2009″ is how the press conference opened today for Sony as they took the stage at Tokyo Game Show. Kaz Hirai took the stage to discuss how 15 years of Playstation has involved taking gaming to a place where “game consoles and networking are inseparable”. To start the conference Kaz Hirai shows a trailer of upcoming titles, and then talks about the sales of the PS3 Slim which sold one million in the first week. He also brings up the motion control and displays how accurate the controller is and that it has “light vibration feedback”. The PSP and PSPGo are next with a trailer of the various games. Hopefully we’ll get an embed of that trailer to put here later. Splinter Cell: Conviction gets a release date at TGS
IGN has the scoop from Tokyo Game Show about when Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction will be released. The date is set at 2.23.2010, which is great because that doesn’t seem very far off and it’s definitely one of our favorite titles we saw at E3. Alienware has landed at the Tokyo Game Show with five new gaming rigs!
Well all of the speculation can come to an end as today at the Tokyo Game Show, Alienware has revealed what all of the teasers are about! As I suspected it’s a new line of gaming computers, but they look pretty nice. EA holds early Tokyo Game Show presser
Tokyo Game show doesn’t start until tomorrow, but EA is kicking things off with a pre-TGS press conference. We aren’t lucky enough to be in Tokyo this year (maybe someone will sponsor us for next year), but we’re collecting all the coverage that we can as it’s being announced. Video Games | FIFA Soccer 10 | My Live Season Tutorial XBox 360 | Playstation 3 | Nintendo Wii Kotaku has a live blog of the EA event which starts with FIFA 10. New to the game is 360 dribbling, skilled dribbling and freedom in physical play. From there EA demos Army of Two: 40th Day. In Army of Two: 40th Day, they increased the difficulty of the enemy AI and now there are new units called “heavy units” which will take you and your partner to take down. Dead Space Extraction was shown next which is out for the Wii

Alienware invading the Tokyo Game Show
As I mentioned previously, Alienware has been sending out teasers about a new invasion that will be coming. Along with the image I posted, they now have two teaser trailers out now that are quite interesting to watch. Alienware will be at the Tokyo Game Show to announce this new product line, and I only wish I could be there to check them out in person! Toshihiro Nagoshi and Akihiro Hino hold Talk Show at TGS 2009
Tokyo Game Show hosts a Creator’s Talk Show which is set up to give visitors an inside look at the entertainment value of games and what it’s like being a game creator. This year’s show will be hosted by Toshihiro Nagoshi of Sega Corp and Akihiro Hino of Level-5 Inc. Toshihiro Nagoshi is the producer on Daytona USA, Super Monkey Ball, and Ruy Ga Gotoku. Akihiro Hino is the CEO/President of Level-5 Inc and worked on titles like Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, White Knight Chronicles and Dragon Quest IX: Hoshizora no Mamoribito. Tokyo Game Show is September 24-27. The theme of this year’s TGS is “Game, It’s so energetic”. The talk will be on Sunday, September 27 from 14:10 – 15:10 in Hall Number 1.
