Torchlight Preorders now available

Gamers that are excited for Torchlight can now get their preorder in at Perfect World Entertainment portal at http://torchlight.perfectworld.com/. The title is $19.99 and preorders will get to download right away on October 27. New release date for Torchlight on Steam

Runic Games has announced that their website (www.torchlightgame.com) will not be the only place you can purchase Torchlight on October 27. Steam users will be able to purchase it on the same day. 30 days earlier than previously announced at PAX. “It’s important for us to make Torchlight as widely available as possible. Steam is an enormous outlet that many players use exclusively – we’re big fans ourselves – so we are really happy that it will be on Steam starting day one,” says CEO Max Schaefer. Torchlight – Out October 27th!

Long ago at PAX 2009, I took time out of my busy schedule of contracting H1N1, to avail myself of some new titles coming out this year. One of the more exciting booths I stopped by (for an appointment, but I feel like I would’ve found myself there anyway), was for developer Runic games. All of the folks there were super nice and very knowledgeable about their new game coming out. What game is that, you ask? TORCHLIGHT. And when is that beauty coming out? Runic Games announces “Torchlight” launch date

I didn’t think there would be game announcements at PAX. Looks like I was wrong. Runic Games has announced that their action RPG, Torchlight will launch on October 27. The dev team features the talent that worked on Diablo, Diablo II and Fate.
